Overview

Sydney Allen is trying to be your average 24 year old New Yorker. It's hard to be average though when your mother is Evangeline Allen, an Oscar winning actress known as "America's Sweetheart" to moviegoers across the globe. It's even harder to be average when your dad is Reid Tannen, Hollywood Bad Boy and one of the highest paid actors in the world.
Their divorce when Sydney was 12 years old was set off by a series of haunting incidents that left Sydney scarred mentally and physically. Hollywood destroyed her parents' marriage and almost destroyed her. She hasn't owned a TV, read magazines or watched movies since the divorce, refusing to take part in an industry that brought her so much pain.
Now 12 years after her mother took her from LA and hid her in New York to keep her safe, no one but her best friend Leah knows who Sydney is or that her parents are famous movie stars and she's determined to keep it that way. She guards her identity fanatically, not letting anyone get close enough to her to find out who she is.
When Sydney meets the gorgeous but mysterious Drew Forrester at a run down gym in Hell's Kitchen, her life changes. It's time for her to decide if he's worth sharing her secret with, or if she's better off being alone forever. Or maybe she'll find out that she's not the only one hiding something. Dating Drew, Sydney is forced to confront all of her fears at once; celebrity, fame, tabloids, stalkers. Can she survive another high profile exposure to the world?

This was such an enjoyable read for me. Sydney's parents have done their best to love and protect her from the craziness that is Hollywood. She is quite sad and untrusting as an adult, but then she meets Drew. Now I knew that Drew was more than was let on to begin with, but I was expecting a bit more MMA and a little less glamour. However, Heather wove their lives together beautifully. I'll admit I was a bit disappointed that I didn't get to see the reunion I was hoping for, but I'm optimistic that it'll be in the next book. This was billed corretly...it is not your typical love story. I think that's why I enjoyed it as much as I did. While everyong is relatively famouns, beautiful and wealthy, the characters were extremely relatable and the story flowed so well that I didn't want to put it down. I can't remember the last time I read a book in one day. It you're looking for a romance that's outside the typical box, pick this one up.

Just too slow for me, didn't grab me by 80 pages. Not enough 'Drew' to draw me in, sorry. I did like the way the story started and I liked the female character. I also liked the authors style of writing. I will definitely read something else from her.

I enjoyed the storyline even if it was a little too drawn out. I knew what was going to happen long before the author got to that point. I read The second book in the series and the same thing happened so it seems to be this author's style. I didn't mind the vulgarity in the sex scenes but they were overwhelming in sheer number. Nobody in real life is having sex that often. And every scene played out in great detail. That part was definitely overdone but overall not a terrible book. I'm anxious to read the rest.

This series grabs you from the very first chapter. You instantly become connected to the characters, quickly turning the pages to see what happens. Plus, there are numerous suprise twists which offer more than the expected plot. Only problem, how will I wait for the next installment? Enjoy a great read!

I love the usual normal girl meets famous guy stories, but this one had a twist to it that made it different.  Not only does Sydney have famous parents that she hides from everyone, but when she meets the sexy Drew Forrester and falls for him, his secret is bigger than hers! Finding out about Drew brings her past crashing with her present and  comes together spectacularly in the end. Can't wait for the next installment!

There were so many graphic sex scenes, they actually became boring! I won't be looking for the sequel.

It looks like this story is broken up into several books. Not really a cliffhanger so one can choose to save themselves some time and money and not bother with such mediocre work. Don't bother. Its not realistic ( cannot extrapolate should you decide to read it) to the point of being predictable.

The graphic sex scenes and profanity ruined it for me.  Some things are better left to the imagination. I couldn't finish it which is a shame because it had a good story.

Fantastic story plot, down to earth characters and superb writing makes this one of the most interesting and best book's I've read in a long time.

Had high expectations for this book & was slighty disappointed. However it was still a decent book.

The story was great, but cheapened by crude words in the sex scenes. A bit of passionate profanity is one thing, but heavy use of p***y and c**k made it seem dirty and detracted from the tale.

I did like the plot, but had to skip pages of the love scenes. Too grafic. Did not like the F word usage, nor was it necessary. Proof reading could have been done better....found several mistakes.
