Meet the Author

Karen Lynch grew up in Newfoundland, Canada - a place rich in colorful people and folklore to which she attributes her love of the supernatural and her vivid imagination. She moved to Charlotte, North Carolina years ago and was immediately charmed by the southern people but she says she will always be a newfie. Though she loves supernatural fiction, she has a soft spot for Charlotte Brontë and Jane Austin. She is a fan of classic rock, country and classical music but her favorite music is the sound of a good thunderstorm or a howling blizzard. Two of her favorite past times are baking artisan breads for her friends and spending quality time with her two German Shepherds. A voracious reader, she fell in love with books and writing at an early age and it grew into a lifelong passion. Relentless is her first published work and she hopes it is the first of many.

I usually don't get into this genre, but it looked interesting so I decided to give a go. Once I got started I was floored by the author's style. The characters are all believable and they are developed in such a way that you don't have to spend time with 4 or 5 chapters of filler before the action begins. She gets into it right away and develops the characters as you get into the flow of the book. It is kind of reminiscent of the way one of favorite authors Terry Brooks does it in his Word and the Void series. I found myself starting to try to figure out how these crazy characters were going to interact and trying to get the plot before it happened. A good author gives you a little bit but then throws a twist at you that you wouldn't expect and the author delivers in spades with this book. While the characters had definitive good and evil structure to them they also showed a respect for each others abilities, well except for the ugly toothsome baddies. In the end I was left looking for more, not because of a lack of content, but because of I had grown to care what happened to these characters. I am patiently awaiting the 2nd and 3rd novel in this trilogy! Great job and I would recommend this book to anyone who likes to read about the struggle between good and evil and is looking for a couple of days of escape from the rat race we live in. If you take more than a couple of days to read this book you ain't doin' it right!

At first I was skeptical about this book. But once I'd finished chapter after chapter, I could not get enough! The story line is perfect And I loved the characters! For starter Sara the main character is the strongest female chatacter I've read about. Not to mention the supporting guy characters! They're all so unique in every way. I highly recomend this book, it kept me from sleeping I jusy couldn't put it down!

I absolutely adored this book, and its characters!! The main character is easy to fall in love with, and I connected with her a lot. I devoured this book in one night, then I just had to rate and review, which I usually don't do. This left me wanting more from this author, and also of this series! If only I had enough money I would buy the two other ones, but unfortunately I don't, so I have to wait. I would recommend this book to anyone.

This was a great read! The characters were all relatable and believable, the setting was wonderful, and I never got it right when I tried to anticipate what would happen next. I wish it would have been longer because now I'm forced to find something else to read when I'm still ensconced in this world she created. My only negative comment would be about the number of typos/grammatical errors. Not so many that it detracted from the story, but certainly enough to get my attention. Still totally worth it and I'll definitely be purchasing the next book.

I thought this book looked interesting enough to purchase, although I don't usually read in this genre. Lynch's writing style drew me right in, and kept me interested. Enjoyed the characters who were all well-defined; the premise of the book was unique; the storyline moved right along nicely. Lynch succeeded in creating characters and a world that the reader cared about. Highly recommended.

The story was great and kept me on the edge of my seat, but there were several grammar mistakes, spelling errors, and typos. At some pages the typos and errors were so bad that I couldnt even read it. Also I had found this in the "kids" section and there was a bit of foul language (it was mild, but it still wasn't good for kids). At least it was free. It would've been a waste of money if it costed anything.

The Good, the Bad, and why you Must read this book. The Good - This book is amazing. The Bad - You don't want it to end. The Good - This book is free. The Bad - You will want to buy all of Karen Lynch's books. (Including any that haven't been written yet.) The Good - The whole trilogy is available. The Bad - There is only a trilogy available. The Good - Nikolas. The Bad - You don't have a Nikolas. I could go on, but you'll want to enjoy this book for yourself. I have and I keep pushing it on all my friends and family (and now you.) They don't complain (other than perhaps to reiterate the above mentioned "Bads.")

I have never left a book review before so that in itself should say something about the book. I can't believe this series of books hasn't made the top ten list. It's fast paced and you never get bored.

I love reading indie published novels. This one was very enjoyable. At times I kind of wondered if the author was either very young or old and out of touch with the reality of today's younger generation. In spite of such thoughts, the characters definitely draw you in and keep you reading. I'm very interested in following the story and will be purchasing the next book right now.

This whole series was an amazing read. The author did a great job of bringing the characters to life. The main character shiws a true inner strength and gives hope to the idea anything is possible when you believe in yourself.
