I usually don't get into this genre, but it looked interesting so I decided to give a go. Once I got started I was floored by the author's style. The characters are all believable and they are developed in such a way that you don't have to spend time with 4 or 5 chapters of filler before the action begins. She gets into it right away and develops the characters as you get into the flow of the book. It is kind of reminiscent of the way one of favorite authors Terry Brooks does it in his Word and the Void series. I found myself starting to try to figure out how these crazy characters were going to interact and trying to get the plot before it happened. A good author gives you a little bit but then throws a twist at you that you wouldn't expect and the author delivers in spades with this book. While the characters had definitive good and evil structure to them they also showed a respect for each others abilities, well except for the ugly toothsome baddies. In the end I was left looking for more, not because of a lack of content, but because of I had grown to care what happened to these characters. I am patiently awaiting the 2nd and 3rd novel in this trilogy! Great job and I would recommend this book to anyone who likes to read about the struggle between good and evil and is looking for a couple of days of escape from the rat race we live in. If you take more than a couple of days to read this book you ain't doin' it right!

At first I was skeptical about this book. But once I'd finished chapter after chapter, I could not get enough! The story line is perfect And I loved the characters! For starter Sara the main character is the strongest female chatacter I've read about. Not to mention the supporting guy characters! They're all so unique in every way. I highly recomend this book, it kept me from sleeping I jusy couldn't put it down!

I absolutely adored this book, and its characters!! The main character is easy to fall in love with, and I connected with her a lot. I devoured this book in one night, then I just had to rate and review, which I usually don't do. This left me wanting more from this author, and also of this series! If only I had enough money I would buy the two other ones, but unfortunately I don't, so I have to wait. I would recommend this book to anyone.

This was a great read! The characters were all relatable and believable, the setting was wonderful, and I never got it right when I tried to anticipate what would happen next. I wish it would have been longer because now I'm forced to find something else to read when I'm still ensconced in this world she created. My only negative comment would be about the number of typos/grammatical errors. Not so many that it detracted from the story, but certainly enough to get my attention. Still totally worth it and I'll definitely be purchasing the next book.

This whole series was an amazing read. The author did a great job of bringing the characters to life. The main character shiws a true inner strength and gives hope to the idea anything is possible when you believe in yourself.

Enjoyable I didn't find myself skimming over the detail like I often do when a book doesn't hold my interest.

Reviewed by Chris Fischer for Readers' Favorite Fantastic. Fantastic. Fantastic. How's that for a review? I guess I could leave it at that, but there's so much more to say about author Karen Lynch's book, Relentless, that I won't. The first book in a planned series, Relentless introduces us to seventeen-year-old Sara Grey. Haunted by her father's mysterious death when she was a young child, Sara's convinced that she might be the only one who can uncover what really happened. Hiding a unique gift from her family, as well as the paranormal world she's involved in, Sara begins taking more and more risks, putting both herself and the ones she loves in danger. When she becomes the focus of pursuit for an obsessed vampire, and at the same time comes under the protection of a warrior named Nikolas, she realizes that her life may never be the same again. I loved this book. LOVED it. No matter that this is billed for young adults, and I am far past that age, Relentless was so well-written, so well-developed and so fun, exciting and suspenseful that I simply could not put it down. I have to give author Karen Lynch mad props for this book. She has written a book that is absolutely un-put-downable. Any reader who enjoys a good paranormal or fantasy type read will love Relentless, young adult or not. I am pleased to highly recommend this book, and I certainly am looking forward to reading the next books in this incredibly promising series as soon as possible.

Wow this book is amazing, there are very few books I like to read again and this is one of them. It had me hook from the first chapter. Action, adventure, and secrets revealed; this book doesn’t disappoint. You feel like you are right there with Sara, Roland, Peter, Chris, and Nikolas. Don’t miss this adventurous book. So excited for the future books.

Even as i came to the last page, i washoping this was a series i came into it not knowing. I was overjoyed too see book two was available and anguished to see book three would not be availble for over a year!! There are a few editorial errors, but the story wraps you so securely within it that you barely notice them.

Relentless is a totally different take on the paranormal genre than I've read before.  From page 1 I was  drawn in and read the amazing story within 2 days.  Sara's friends are fun and unique and I loved  getting to know each one.  Sara definitely has a knack for getting herself into some crazy and not so safe  situations.  Nikolas, oh Nikolas, let me count the ways…  He's overprotective, hot, and always there when  Sara needs him.  With unique characters and laugh out loud scenes I highly recommend checking out Relentless if you enjoy paranormal stories.
