The Lord is abundant in mercy to all who call upon Him. Jesus was mercy-in-person when He walked on the earth. But how can mercy be like honeysuckle? Just as honeysuckle vines overcome fences, God’s mercy has the power to grow relentlessly in our hearts, conquering all kinds of obstacles that result from our wounded human relationships and limited human reason. As you read and reflect on the scriptural revelations, you’ll discover the life-changing truth that mercy is the Passion, the Presence, and the Glory of God. “Turning Points” at the end of each chapter will guide you through prayer and journaling to help you feel the passion, experience the presence, and see the glory of God as you comprehend God’s Relentless Love for you. Ultimately, as you receive His mercy you will be empowered to show mercy to those around you – even those who’ve wounded you.

What a precious book! Starting out by comparing God's grace to the relentless honeysuckle vine, at the end of each chapter, if you follow the book, you'll be led through a scripture meditation, then prayer, and into the very presence of God as you hear the Spirit speak truth and love to you. If you've ever had a hard time feeling God's Presence, this book, chapter by chapter, trains you and leads you to experience God's Presence. Very readable, very applicable, with true life stories that will blow you away. I confess, I haven't read all of it...yet. This is not a read once and pass on for me. It's a read once, put it away, read again.....and if you pass on books to friends, you'll want to buy them a copy and keep yours.

Mr. Gardner has done a wonderful job in reminding us that the very heart and character of God is mercy, and I have found the book to be very inspirational and straight to the point, and there is much t to be learned about God and His love for us.

His writing is filled with examples from the Scriptures, rich in practical illustration, and powerful in application. I found myself engaged in the truths of God’s compassion, forgiveness, and his abundant blessings toward me as contemplated the nature of unmerited love. Whether describing the heart and character of God, His acts of mercy, or His understanding of our humanity, Gardner skillfully guides the reading into a new longing for the presence of God and a deep seated desire to see His glory. The contemporary stories illustrate the struggles and sinfulness of man and the power of God to meet us in our need, to provide redemption and renewal as His love and plan for each of us unfolds. “Relentless Love: Unfolding God’s Passion, Presence, and Glory” is a refreshing reminder of God’s unmerited love and mercy.
