MODERN MYTHIC EROTIC FANTASY ROMANCE

Man by day, Centaur by night, Rhycious is a remedy maker who needs his own healing.

He's the royal physician, famous for his cures. War and posttraumatic stress disorder has broken his spirit, preventing him from finding true happiness. Then a direct order from the queen to investigate an uprising forces him out of his secluded cabin at the edge of the forest.

Patience is an optimistic, good-natured Wood Nymph who works as a mediator to ensure harmony within the Nymph sector.

Environmental pollution in the aquifer stream that feeds the taproot tree of her heart is slowly killing her. Resigned to the fact she will not live long, she sets out to discover the mysterious disappearance of her sister. Experience has taught her to deny herself the love of a male, but the gruff Centaur is different. He doesn't push his expectations on her, only his healing nature.

When Rhycious loses his grip on reality, he believes his inability to control his disorder will drive Patience away. Nevertheless, desire flares, and Patience draws him close. Kidnapping and betrayal turn their mythic joint venture into a deadly bout.

Will their love endure when survival hinges on trusting each other?

Editorial Reviews

Amazon - D'Ann Lindun
When the royal healer, Rhycious, stumbles across Patience, a sick wood nymph, he doesn't forsee much more than a quick diagnosis and goodbye. But the funny talking nymph quickly touches his scarred heart. Sworn enemies, both are determined to put the hatred of the war behind them. PTSD and a life-threatening disease threaten the pair's attraction.

I love this book. It's different. It's original. And it has a couple you won't soon forget.

Rhyscious captured my heart from the very beginning. A new twist on some of my favorite mythical creatures, and a love story that I will definitely want to come back and read again and again.

Remedy Maker is like no other fantasy romance I'd ever read. Its characters are original and the storyline intriguing. I found myself rooting for Patience and Rhycious and couldn't wait to see what happened next. This amazing debut definitely put a new spin on Greek mythology. Watch out romance enthusiasts. You're in for a treat.

Congrats to the author for delivering a fantastic debut!

I have always been a lover of mythology, so was already excited when I picked up Ms. Fredricks's Remedy Maker. However, the story still managed to surprise and delight me. Having a centaur as the hero is simply inspired, and I love Patience the wood nymph heroine. This is a tale, not only of unexpected love, but of race relations, palace intrigue and PTSD and the horrors of war. The author wove a seamless tale taking me back into a fictional time that was haunting and so rewarding.

Meet the Author

Always on the hunt for the uncommon things in life, author Sheri Fredricks thrives on creating adventures in her mythological kingdom for her readers.

A former engineering secretary, Sheri lives on the beautiful central coast of California. "I wanted to move away from inflexible right angles and create an unboxed world with no boundaries."

A voracious reader since her early years, Sheri found her brain crowded with stories and characters of her own. "Ultimately," she says, "my husband encouraged me to write them all down."

Sheri loves to spend time at home. A computer hutch keeps her focused on creating stories, but the panoramic view of life on a ranch will call her outside to play in the sun

Remedy Maker was my first fantasy romance and first by this author. What a treat! Not only was the remedy maker male, but hot and intriguing! The author did her research and pulled me in from the first pages!! I entered a world of fantasy and incredible characters and I didn’t leave until the end! I fell in love with Rhy and Patience from the start. And did I mention the hero is HOT! I loved the concept of this book and hope the author writes books for a couple of the side characters because I fell for a couple of them too! Thank you, Miss Fredricks! I look forward to more of your books!

I awaited this book's release for a while so I was glad when I finally had the chance to sit down and read it. I've got to give credit where credit is due. Ms. Fredricks excelled at world building when she created the mythological Boronda Forest full of assorted creatures of myth and fantasy. Rhy is one of those tortured, loyal heroes who has a duty to carry out, but he also has his heart in the right place. Patience was a entertaining heroine, in my opinion. Her quirky vocabulary tickled me since I have issues with inventing my own words as well. There was no shortage of witty dialogue and great sexual tension when this pair were together, trying to sort out the problems in the forest and political alliances among the mythological factions. It was a pleasure to read how Patience's unbiased, understanding nature helped Rhy through his PSTD and his own past prejudices. Their blossoming love was sweet to read, and Rhy is a hero you'll fall in love with. He's protective of his little wood nymph, and I absolutely loved that. There is no shortage of "sexiness" to the book as well. This was quite a read that I enjoyed very much. I liked the emotional depth added to many of the characters and the awesome fantasy world in which they co-existed. You should definitely give Remedy Maker a try if you haven't already.
