Meet the Author

Myron Vallier has worked for more than seven years as librarian cataloging visual materials for photoswest.org, the Web site for the Denver Public Library�s Western History and Genealogy Department. During this time he has developed a great appreciation for the photographers and photography of the American West. Myron was raised in Taos, New Mexico, and took an early interest in the arts. He served as a Peace Corps volunteer in Caracas, Venezuela, as a social worker and counselor, and once ran an antique business. With advanced degrees in history and library science, he has worked as a librarian in academic, public, and state libraries. Myron lives in Conifer, Colorado, located in the foothills outside Denver, with a friend and Forrest, a large husky.
