This book was awsome, however it was very very sad just to
hear how people were treated back then.....it really is a tear jerker! I made my oldest son (17) read it and he came away with lots of questions and a very upset look on his face. I think every african american family should have a (TRUE) slavery book in their book collection, so that we and our kids can really get what went on back then so that we can live free.....saying,doing, going, worshiping the way we want to (BECAUSE OF THOSE PEOPLE).......VERY GOOD READ
