The settings are sleazy bars and two-bit flops and alleys that smell of puke and piss. The characters are not the kind of people most of us would admit to knowing. They long ago forfeited their souls. ...

    SoftShine and co.

Soft carefully picked out a spot, at a quiet, untouched corner in the back of the nursery. She picked up a newborn, fairly big. He was all black, besides a silver bowtie shape at his neck. Boldkit. A silvery white whispy shekit lie near another nest. She scooped her up and layed her next to her brother. Swiftkit. A dark grey shekit with lighter grey and white flecks in her fur giggled as her mother plucked her from a shadow and set her in the nest with her siblings. Fadingkit. And lastly, a small, black and white shekit mewled loudly. Her fur was split down the middle- half black, half white. Tornkit. Soft carefully circled the kittens and layed down, curling halfway around them, her head on her paws. Her tail wrapped around the kits as they began to suckle. She thought about her past. Saving so many lives... She slowly drifted off into a deep, peaculy sleep. One she hadn't had in many a night. Boldkit, Swiftkit, Fadingkit, and Tornkit suckled quietly untill they too began to sleep.
