I liked this book except for one thing. When rachael got to the jail and found clint there and wasted all that time taking care of him and telling him how much she always loved the house that he bought instead of trying to find out where tyree was, i was disgusted and disappointed. And then she adds insult to injury by just going home instead of trying to find him. Really??? And then, as usual, she blames him for not coming back to her. Give me a break. This book would gotten five stars if she had run after him immediately. It just didnt fitWas this review helpful? Yes NoThank you for your feedback. I enjoyed a few other books by Ms. Baker but none WOWED me like this story. It struck me that her characters in this novel had more depth than some of her others. Without giving away the plot, I found the turn of events to be very credible. There were NO magical, "rabbit-out-of-the-hat" recoveries that you sometimes find. The old west was a rough time and the ache and turmoil was well conveyed. Ms. Baker writes with a matter-of-fact style that complements the historical west genre. The story was just plain good! Was this review helpful? Yes NoThank you for your feedback. Report this reviewThank you, this review has been flagged.
