This album always gets slammed as being the weakest in the Thin Lizzy catalog, but it's always been one of my favorites. The songwriting is amazing and more diverse than on most of the post-Vagabonds albums. The guitars are a bit quieter here and at times it resembles a Phil Lynott solo album more than a Thin Lizzy record, but that's not a bad thing at all. Renegade, like the band themselves, is always overlooked, underrated, but great.
