Meet the Author

Russel Gehrke is an engineer, inventor, and consultant well known in alternative energy circles. He is a professional consultant and chief technical officer for Agrifuels, LLC and has been featured on the Discovery Channel and in several episodes of the syndicated television show Cool Fuel Road-Trips, his own pilot TV show, Eco-Outlaws, as well as the History Channel’s Modern Marvels. Russel has built hot rods for Willie Nelson and custom motorcycles for John Paul DeJoria, Meryl Haggard, and others. He is the inventor of “The Ethanol Reformer,” a patent-pending technology that processes ethanol in stationary engines in a much more efficient way.

We dug ourselves into a hole by choosing one solution for all our problems: fossil fuels. All of these fuels add to a solution. Biodiesel has the most potential short-term effect, but cellulosic ethanol and electric are excellent components. But we want to avoid choosing one solution and winding up back in the same place.
