This book is a fabulous tool if you're wanting to educate your mind about your soul and how it is different from your heart. Willard does an amazing job of talking to and engaging your intellect. This is a tough read and not for new/ beginning Christians. This boos IS KEY though to your spiritual transformation. Renovation of the Heart is a book you'll benefit from reading multiple times as you'll grab something new from the text each time. If you're nervous, GREAT, pick it up and start reading. You won't regret it.
I will recommend getting the college version or study guide to help you process if you find it intimidating.
