His thesis appears to be that because have learned to manipulate genetics, and because technology appears to be improving at an ever-increasing rate, before long we will have created mutant cyborgs that will replace humans. These mutant cyborgs (he calls them "Technology Augmented Bioengineered humans") will have little in common with Homo sapiens, and thus societal and evolutionary pressures will cause them...
This is a thoughtful analysis of humanity's future in the age of the Technology Augmented Bioengineered (TAB) Humans, where science and survival determine the evolution of humanity (and the possibility that there is no room for emotion, spirituality or the soul). It seems a plausible assertion in the age of genome mapping and nanotechnology, however, the elimination of the emotional connection of human beings is a sobering thought. Alan Hoshor is a long time resident of the Pacific Northwest. Originally trained in Forestry at University of California, Berkeley; he has had a very diverse and eclectic career in industries both large and small. Twelve years ago he started Hoshor Systems Consulting to service small businesses in Washington State. Alan's claim to competence is his capacity for systems thinking matured over decades of productive life.
