Editorial Reviews

Children's Literature - Dianne Ochiltree
Aiden Falconer is a boy on a mission...he must save his kidnapped younger sister, Meg, with the assistance of an unexpected friend, FBI Agent Harris. Even in the best of circumstances, this would be a difficult task. Aiden's search is initially complicated by a sudden snowstorm that quickly escalates to a blizzard. Meanwhile, Meg unwittingly makes her brother's rescue efforts even more difficult by escaping from her captors, ruthless thugs whom she has named Spidey and Tiger, just moments before the snowstorm hits the isolated woods of Western Virginia. Using the survival skills she learned from the fictional hero of her father's detective novel series, Mac Mulvey, she manages to stay alive and ahead of her evil pursuers. But will her brother Aiden and the rest of the rescue team catch up with her before the kidnappers re-capture her, or before hypothermia, starvation, and exhaustion take their deadly toll? A gripping, cat-and-mouse plot plus interesting characters equal a thriller just right for middle grade readers. Book #3 in the "Kidnapped" series.

In the last book of the KIDNAPPED series, many things happen to the Falconer family. Meg has escaped and is trying to survive in the mountainous wilderness when a blizzard hits.

Aiden is with Agent Harris looking for Meg while Louise and John Falconer are living with Agent Mike Sorenson--a man who hasn't broken a rule or taken a chance in his whole FBI career. More and more answers are being found...but more and more questions are being asked.

Now everyone is in a remote area, frantically searching for answers, and trying to find Meg. Find out in THE RESCUE what happens--is Meg saved by the FBI and reunited with her family, or are the Falconers left with grief over the loss of never getting their daughter back?

I give this whole series a big two thumbs up! The roller coaster keeps you going until the very end. I've already told all of my friends that they have to get THE ABDUCTION, THE SEARCH, and THE RESCUE. I think you should definitely read this series if you like very thrilling books. It feels like you are actually there living it!

    Great kid's book!

My 9 year old daughter loved this series. Each book is a quick read, but still has some challenging vocabulary. The series really kept her interest and she read all of them and moved on to other Korman books.

    Future Toothpick Maker Writes Review

Agent Harris has his heart attached to this crime. You¿ll be scared when he comes face to face with a mastermind from a terrorist group, HORUS. This book has enough action I bet they could turn it into an action movie without changing a word. It is probably one of the best books Gordan Korman has ever written. If you like a lot of action this book is for you! This was a very interesting and entertaining book for me. I don¿t think I have ever read something like this. I think if you read it, it will stay in your mind forever. It was almost like watching a movie on paper. It was an up and down roller coaster for the Falconer family but it ends in an ¿up¿ and everyone is happy. I would recommend this book to anyone that¿s willing to sit down and read a nice book.
