Hated, just hated Matt for the hurt he so easily could cause James and his friends, but at the end, man I just fell completely head-over-heels for him. I love a real "true" love story. People act like Matt everywhere, never letting their true feelings for someone be expressed, whether in public or behind closed doors, scared to lose their self, fear for getting rejected by their mate or the publics eye. Sad. This was a very true to life, touching story. Thanks for sharing Scarlet.

I loved this book! The characters were really fleshed out and the storyline was interesting from beginning to end. I imagine most readers would find Matt to be a cold and harsh social outcast. He has suffered severe injuries in an auto accident and hires James as his nurse. The romance grows but goes through a lot of angst on Matt's part. He is quite cold and a lot of times cruel to his friends and James. At times I wanted to throttle him! The romance between Matt and James even becomes quite violent at times. It's obsessive and intense but I loved every minute of it! When Matt finally faces his demons and goes after James I was so thrilled. What an awesome read!

OMG!!!! I absolutely loved this book. The whole story played out and the ending was not rushed. I disliked Matt throughout most of the book but when he truly recognized what an ass he was to James and how much he loved him and couldn't live without him, I found myself cheering for him to win James back. GREAT LOVE STORY!!! Keep the stories like this one coming.

James must either be the worlds biggest masochist or have the patience of Jobe. I WOULDN'T have tolerated 1/2 of Matt's bad behavior, accident or not. The first time he hit me would have been the last, love or hot sex aside. And the way he treated his friends intolerable. The story has been well written to evoke such an emotional response. I think both main characters need psychological counseling. Matt's scizophrenic and James masochistic

Matts character is a sterling example of a narcisstic bigot who takes no responsibility for his actions abuses his friends with spectacular disrespect and sexually assaults and repeatedly humiliates the first person to show him love. There is nothing sensual or romantic about this. The rape scene made me nauseas. Car accident or no, sexual identity confusion or no, there is no excuse for that kind of behavior, not even the bucket load of self loathing thoughts matt had excuse it. The author described perfectly the garden variety batterer. Im a shrink. I would know. Ive not been more put off a novel in some time.

First book I read from Scarlet, and instantly fell in love! Highly recommend that you check this out. After getting in a near fatal car accident, he hires a home nurse to help him cope with his pain, and everyday care. Enter hunky nurse James. Half the time reading I wanted to slap Matt for how he treats James, and his denial of his own feelings. But after remembering everything he went through during and after the accident, I found myself forgiving him. Great book, and great characters. I love James, and I think you should just buy it now and read how great it is for yourself, you won't be disappointed!
