Awesome reading for my 12 year old homeschooled son.

Keeps my homeschooled 12 year old son 'interested' in school. For the reader who loves 'facts' and no fairy tale reading. Good clear black and white pictures. Not as stressful as reading chapter books. Many short stories. Critical thinking questions at end of story allow student to obtain grading of his work.

    One sided

Difficult to read and not too much depth. No real motivations presented regarding a character who spent his entire life in the pursuit of a single goal (or thats what I felt). Besides being written in an 'overly flowerly' style at points, I thought the 'other side' of the story was not well represented. Other points of view were hinted, but not explored or explained.

    SNORE!!!!!! Wait was I asleep...

I gave this only one star because it¿s all that it deserved. I'm half way through the book and for the first time in my life I am thinking hard about not finishing a book. I could not get into the story at all. I would pick it up and read maybe a chapter or two and become completely bored! This book needed an editor to step in and say to the author, sorry but writing is not for you! It is bizarre and boring and the entire subplot is mystifying. Pass on this book!
