Overview

Graham "Hollywood" Caverly feels the chemistry with Kassie Anderson in the emails they've been exchanging through a dating site. When they finally meet in person, and that online chemistry proves to have real-life sizzle, he knows she's the one. He couldn't be happier when their first date, at an annual Army Ball, goes better than he could have imagined. Until Kassie drops a bomb.

Kassie doesn't want to approach Hollywood on the dating site, but threats to her family leave her no other choice. She definitely doesn't want to fall for the man. But fall she does. Hard. After she admits the ruse--and after some understandable anger on both their parts--Kassie wonders if, in Hollywood's arms, a happy future is within her grasp.

But her past always finds her, and in Kassie's case, that's a dangerous proposition--because she's connected to an old enemy of Hollywood's Delta Force team. Very intimately connected... And it will take Hollywood, his Delta brothers, and even some outside help to do what should have been done the first time--eliminate the threat once and for all.

I adored Kassie and Hollywood's story! Kassie's ex (Jack) is stalking her through his best friend (Dean) from prison. Kassie does several things she doesn't want to do to protect her younger sister. She finally confides in Hollywood and the team steps in to help clean up issues. Unbeknownst to them, there's more in the works than Kassie is aware of. Great how the story turned out and loved how things ended!!

Rescuing Kassie is the best story yet in Susan Stoker's Delta Force Heroes series. The bad guys were truly evil vermin and the friends and family members were the kind of people I would want to be around. Hollywood hit the top of my book boyfriend list for his honest straight forward handling of some difficult issues and Kassie found her inner warrior making her the ideal sister, friend, lover, and wife. I look forward to reading more books by Susan Stoker. LWM

Another wonderful story in this series. This one although a standalone story will be a much better read if house have read the other stories in the Delta Force series. The background information you get in the other books will make you enjoy this one more. I loved that Hollywood finally gets his girl and she is with him for more than just his looks and the fact he is a solider. Loved seeing the appearances of our San Antonio bunch from the Badge of Honor series. This is a well written book with wonderful character development. You feel like you know these people after you start reading this series and that they are your friends and you are always happy to see what they are up too.

This story will grab your attention from the beginning and never lags. RESCUING KASSIE follows the building relationship between Delta Force officer Graham ‘Hollywood’ Caverly and department store clerk Kassie Anderson. This story is a great, and flows well as all Susan Stokers books do, plenty of action, love and a great HEA.

Rescuing Kassie is Book 5 in the Delta Force Heroes. It can be a stand alone but I highly recommend that you read the books in order to get better appreciation for the characters in the series. One of the great things about this series is you get to 'revisit' with the characters from the previous books. They are the best type of 'family' to have, one for all and all for one. Kassie Anderson contacts Hollywood through a dating website. Through online communication they get to know each other pretty well except for the reason why Kassie contacted him in the first place. It really showed her true character when she told Hollywood her reason soon after they met. I found it interesting how his friends made him see the reality of the situation. They have a way of seeing beyond the visual layer. Poor Kassie she's doing what she has to do to protect her sister. Kassie is probably the only woman that 'sees' Hollywood beyond his drop dead gorgeous good looks. Throughout this book he never ceases to amaze me what a real gentleman he is. I would seriously want him for myself but I feel that Kassie and Hollywood were/are meant for each other. She needs someone to fight her demons so she can have a life and he needs someone to be his other half in every sense. I love Kassie's sense of humor. The way she stumps people with her humor is awesome. Annie has some very hilarioius moments in this book too. She's too smart for her own good. I absolutely adore that little girl. What I like best about Susan Stoker's books is that you can count on hot alpha males, intensity, intrigue, suspense and sizzling hot sex. This book has that in spades with twists of humor. I also love that this book ended letting us know this series isn't over yet

Susan Stoker is back! *imagine fireworks going off!* One of my very favorite authors has come out with a new book, and it was a pure pleasure to read from start to finish. The only part I didn’t like...The End. Thank goodness I can always just go back to the beginning, because this book is about one of my absolute favorite Delta Force boys, Hollywood. We also learn his real name! Hellooo Graham Caverly! Our heroine requiring saving this time around is Kassie Anderson, and she meets Graham on a dating site. She really doesn’t know what he looks like because his picture hides his face. They get to know each other after Kassie messages him three times until her unique subject line hooks him. But Kassie doesn’t want to message him in the first place. She’s being forced by her ex-boyfriend and his friend has gone from verbal and physical threats against her to threatening to hurt her 17 year-old sister. It leaves her no choice but to do his bidding. Hollywood takes her to an Army ball, and despite a rocky start due to some of Kassie’s demons, they have a great time. But Kassie can’t go through with the plan, so she tells Hollywood everything. Needless to say, he doesn’t take it well. But Kassie is in danger, and Hollywood and the guys come to her rescue, but can they keep her safe? I love Susan Stoker’s books anyway, but this one was just over-the-top wonderful! Hollywood was a bit of a jerk to Kassie at first, but he more than made up for it in true Delta style!

RESCUING KASSIE is the fifth installment in Susan Stoker’s contemporary, adult DELTA FORCE HEROES romantic, suspense series focusing on an elite team of military personnel. This is team member Graham ‘Hollywood’ Caverly, and department store clerk Kassie Anderson’s story line. RESCUING KASSIE can be read as a stand alone without any difficulty. Any important information from the previous story lines is revealed where necessary although I recommend reading the series in order as some of the events of the current story line are connect to the events of Marrying Emily. There is a slight cross-over with the author’s Badge of Honor series. Told from several third person perspectives including Kassie and Hollywood RESCUING KASSIE follows the building relationship between Delta Force officer Graham ‘Hollywood’ Caverly and department store clerk Kassie Anderson. For weeks Kassie and Hollywood have been communicating via a dating website but little does Hollywood know that Kassie is being threatened, and Hollywood and his Delta Force soldiers are targeted in a game of revenge. What ensues is the set up and take down of the people targeting our story line heroine, and Hollywood’s quick jump to love and a happily ever after. RESCUING KASSIE picks up several weeks after the events of MARRYING EMILY and in this there is some background information that is revealed throughout the story. Kassie’s ex boyfriend has destroyed her confidence and trust in the military machine, and with it the threats from a familiar source. Hollywood knows that to end the threats to his team, and the woman he loves, Kassie will remain part of the game. The relationship between Kassie and Hollywood is quick to build but initially suffers when Kassie reveals the truth behind her introduction to our leading hero. The sexual relationship is slower to build as Hollywood takes his time getting to know the woman with whom he is falling in love. The $ex scenes are limited and mostly fade to black but there are a number of scenes of sexual exploration and play that are intimate, erotic and seductive. There are a large number of secondary and supporting characters including Hollywood’s Delta Force teammates: Rayne and Ghost, Emily and Fletch, as well as Emily’s daughter Annie, Harley and Coach, and Dane ‘Fish’ Munroe whose story is next in Rescuing Bryn. Several characters from the author’s Blade of Honor series cross over for familiarity. The requisite evil is two-fold as our heroine struggles with the threats against herself and her family. The world building looks at the friendships and camaraderie, lives and loves of the elite Delta Force team-a blacker than black ops special unit who are but ghosts in the wind. RESCUING KASSIE is an amazing story of suspense, romance, revenge and betrayal. The premise is engaging, energetic and moving; the characters are colorful, spirited and dynamic; the romance is passionate and emotional. Susan Stoker’s creative story lines pull the reader into a sexy world of military heroes and the women they love.

My disclaimer: I received an ARC of this book but I have read all the others in this series so I would have purchased it either way :) I really enjoyed this book and it is a great way to tie up the story line with Jacks and giving one of the couples their HEA. I have always likes Hollywood so I was excited to see him get his story. Kassie was in a bad situation after coming out of an abusive relationship and felt she had to do as she was told. I can understand how beat down she feels and how she felt she had no choice but to do what she does to Hollywood. She comes clean pretty quickly which I was glad to read. I don't enjoy stories where the heroine is continually lying to the hero so was very glad this wasn't one. She was quick to come clean even when she felt she had no other way out. (This took a lot of courage I'm sure). I enjoyed seeing glimpses of the other characters in the series. I think it would be helpful to have read the other stories in the series but not a must.

This is book 5 in Susan Stokers Delta Force Series. This is one of my more favorite stories in this series. This story has Kassie being coerced into "meeting" Hollywood, who is Hollywood gorgeous. He sees a brave and gorgeous woman back. They say the truth shall set you free. NOT! The truth leads to some really good drama, and what results is what makes this story so great! I loved seeing how Susan Stoker gets you to a spot, a moment, just to zig zag and leaves you wondering what just happened, because you soooooo didn't see it coming. There are a few of those moments. They were brilliant!! They really brought the story together and keeps you on the edge of your seat, because now ANYTHING is now possible. She also brings Dane "Fish" Monroe back, and shows us he has some serious depth to his character. The ending...well, O M G ! ! ! ! Wait until you see what happens then... Just. O. M. G.!!!!!
