Book Summary

Praise for Rescuing Zoey

"...a cute, emotional, and passionate story. For a light and refreshing read, Rescuing Zoey should hit the spot."
-- Monica, Risque Reviews

"I liked this story because of the determined personality of the heroine. Work relationships are very risky, especially if they don't work out. But if my boss had my thoughts all out of whack, I may be tempted to go for it..."
-- 4 Angels from Pam S., Fallen Angel Reviews

Meet the Author

Jessica Coulter Smith currently lives in Tennessee with her family and a house full of pets, after having lived in several places from the East Coast to the West Coast. When she isn't writing, you can find her either curled up with a book or out shopping. She's particularly fond of bookstores and Starbucks!

Her writing career began in high school when she submitted My World is Tumbling Down to a poetry contest, not only receiving a publication offer, but also an award. Since then, she has published a half-dozen or more poems, six novels, and several short stories. At any given time, she has five or more works-in-progress at various stages of completion.

Prior to writing, she worked for a counseling center; in information systems for a debt collector; and has worked at more than one college. After handling everything from patient evaluations to department accreditation, she decided to sit down at the computer again and attempt writing novels (from young adult to erotica). Now she's a stay-at-home mom and writes full-time.

You can check out what she's up to at her website www.jessicacoultersmith.com. She's also on Facebook (when she has time to login). She loves to hear from her readers and you can get in touch with her using .

Rescuing Zoey by Jessica Coulter Smith is not part of a series but I wish it was or at least I hope to see a sequel in the future. This was a wonderful and sweet story.

Zoey has had a crush on her boss for the last year. While the other employee where she works doesn’t like her much, she is a hard worker and does not care what they think. She has one friend, Landon who she talks to at work and that seems to be all she needs. I love how strong, independent and self confident she is. I enjoyed the fact that even though her co-workers did not like her she did not want them fired when they were rude to her. That really shows how she cares for those around her.

Sebastian being the boss does not want to pursue Zoey because he can’t tell if she is interested in him or not. So he watches her every chance he gets. It’s understandable that the office gossip is running wild about these two.

The chemistry between Zoey and Sebastian is explosive. The sex is off the charts. I loved how realistic everything was between Zoey and Sebastian. They were a great match in and out of the bedroom. I also enjoyed how protective Sebastian was of Zoey after she was attached.

The only thing that could have made this story better was if it was longer. Toward the end of the story, it went too fast compared to the rest of the story. I hope Ms. Smith writes a story about Andrew and also Landon. They were intriguing characters and I would love for them to have their own story. Overall, this was a great story. This is one of the few stories I will reread on a rainy afternoon.
