    Putting Las Vegas on the Culinary Map

    This excellent book really highlights how Las Vegas has become one of the hottest spots for dining. Many of these luxurious restaurants are located on the Strip in some of the most specacularly designed architecture in the US, while other restaurants are located throughout the Las Vegas Valley (yes, there is more to Las Vegas than the Strip and the casinos.) Most of the chefs featured in this book are world reknowned, and the dishes and recipies they present exhibit why. I personally liked the biographies of each chef, putting a personal touch on an industry that seems so distant to us outsiders. The book is extremely well designed and laid out. The photos are lush, the writing is fluid and entertaining, and the recipies (the reason for which we're supposed to buy the book, I suppose) are enticing. The book is so well put together it would make a great coffee table book even if you didn't cook. Hats of to Sarah Lee Marks for putting this project together. I can't wait for the sequel!

    Great food, Great Restaurants and Great Chefs

    This is a great peek into the world of celebrity chefdom in a city with more hot restaurants than any other place I know. The pictures are good enought to eat! The stories add a nice touch, providing the path to becoming truly great at what you do is a practice, gift and daily habit.
