I'm using the guide for my 2nd time through the game. Combined with the knowledge of the first play through, the guide is the best. With top down veiw layout of the level, I can easily pinpoint items, emblems, and treasure.
Each page gives you a "what to expect and prepare for" and seperate paragraphs for location on "must have" items.
After the main game, it gives layout and location tips for the mercinaries/multiplayer battle for best score and layout. This is a plus cause the battle score carries over to the main game to buy items and upgrades.
The artwork that comes with it and back story on creation is very informative. You would be surprized how much work went into creating this game. Live actors and green screen in were used as reference for the CGI crew to use to get the movement correct and real.
Lastly, the trophy/achevments list is detailed. Not only does it tell you how to get it, but what chapters are the best (or only found on) and preferd weapons to use.
I know it is a bit of a cheat telling me where the emblems are, but I already played through once, and the levels (chapters) are so hugh, help is really appriciated. The guide is worth every bit. So much detail without being cluttered.
