    Hopefully not the last

I find it interesting that aside from the very first game I never played the Resident Evil video games yet I've read all the books and love them.

Going from novel #6 (Code: Veronica) to this was a bit of a disapointment just for the fact that I wanted to see more progression with the characters, I wasn't ready (and hadn't noticed) that #7 was a prequel. Nevertheless, this was a good book, good character development and some interesting twists that provided new evil but didn't compromise the series.

    Recommend reading definitely.

    more from this reviewer

    I Also Recommend:

Very good for those who never got to play the game...

...like myself. Due to my lack of a GameCube, I was never able to play Resident Evil Zero. <BR/><BR/>Now, I can't say whether it followed the game very well or not but I did find it very entertaining and a good substitute. But I'm sure that even if you have played it, I'm sure this is still worth a read.<BR/><BR/>The characters are rather interesting, revolving mainly around five of them. A few parts a little slow but it picks up again soon after. It does feel a little linear but obviously, that was to follow the game as best as possible, I'm sure.<BR/><BR/>My biggest complaint? Don't read this if you're a grammar freak. There is an insane amount of typos and errors, which drove me up the wall. But beyond that, it was very enjoyable.

    RESIDENT EVIL RULES

I've played the Resident Evil games since I was just about five or six with my older brother, since I've gotten older I've been wondering when they would make books on the series like the way they made an awesome movie on the games. Trust me you won't want to put down this book.

    'Zero Hour' Timely Finish

The seventh volume of S. D. Perry's 'Resident Evil' series is a perfectly paced adventure. A consistent style follows throughout most of the books in this collection, the only missteps appearing in 'Caliban Cove' and 'Code: Veronica', and at times being predictable and formulaic which is a common pratfall of most series. This aside, the talent Perry displays for balancing scens and character development and positioning makes this particular group of works well worth having in one's collection. It would be worth having Ms. Perry bring this cycle of work to an even ten books, hopefully giving the character Trent an opportunity to find closure to personal quest which followed through of the previous stories!

    YES!

I promise you if you have ever played the video games. You would want to read these books. Because they kick total butt. And that I promise you. I have played all the games and this gives a different insight into the player's mind. This is my favorite book besides the Underworld. You have to give this a try!

    Dang thats good

I thought that was the best series I have ever read in my whole life. Actually thats the only series I've ever read but still. But I dont think she should'nt make a book on Apocolypse, Dont get me wrong or anything it was the best movie in the world but in book 5 they killed Nemesis so she shoul make one on the 4th game and other resident evil games.

0 patience to get it home and start reading

I have been a HUGE resident evil fan since it first came out for playstation. I have followed the story, and sure it seems choppy at times, but it's awesome. Now, when I heard about the novels, I was a bit worried they would ruin the idea of RE (like I feel the movies have...) but I've found the novels are BETTER than the games! Perry has truly taken RE in its purest form, and sent us through an adventure with vivid description on all the fun & gory details. I am curious to how well this will follow the story though, since in the previous novels,Rebecca often states that her first experience in combat was at the mansion, and even then she had no idea what umbrella was up to (plus she has no weapons or combat experience). At the end of RE0 for Nintendo, she has a magnum and grenade launcher, has done a LOT of battling, and knows the umbrella conspiracy. What will this do for the novel? Who knows, but I trust Perry, so first thing I am doing is runnin¿ out and buying it, to see how well she's covered this problem, and for the sake of reading yet another amazing RE Novel.

Most likely one more excellent addition!!!!

I am sure the latest installment of the Resident evil series based on the video games will be an exquisite and much anticipated piece of the collection i am sure most of us are reaching for off the bookshelves. This as well as the novelization of Resident Evil Apocolypse will probably be jumping off of the shelves at ur nearest bookstore. Make sure u get ur copy as soon as possible. and remeber, Resident evil Apocolypse the book is due out Sept 1st.

the person a little above me titled 'indeed sir' is really really stupid

the movie was awesome, more than 'indeed sir' could ever do in his life, so don't be dissing a perfectly good masterpiece. But i am also waiting for this book to come out, i havent read the entire RE series, but theyve been great so far, and i hope S.D. Perry keeps up the good work. And RE: Apocalypse, the second RE movie, looks incredible too. cant wait for that one to come out too.

    Bout dang time!!

    S. D. Perry is a genius with the Resident Evil Books, and I havee been reading them all since they first started coming out. If this one is anything like the others, it will kick major a**. I just hope that it's not the last as the title seems to imply...though if it's an adaptation of Resident Evil Zero -- the one where Rebecca has a solo adventure taking place before the firs one -- I might be reluctant and cautious in reading it.

the long-awaited novilization of RE 0

a few people arent sure if this is an original story or the novilization of RE 0. well if you view the larger photo of the cover, you will see that its number is 0. now on with the review. i am an avid reader of many books(sci-fi and fantasy being my favorite). i really enjoy series, when i saw the Umbrella conspiracy, i thought i give it a try(mainly cuz i was almost sick of re-reading lord of the rings, not that i still dont re-read them, at the time it was all i read.) i was amazed at the graphic description given by Perry. She does an amazing job describing each and every detail. i continued the series. afterwards, when RE 0 came out on nintendo, i wondered if she would write a book about that one. now my question was answered. rest assured i will be one of the first (and only where im at, a churched based town) to be at the store to buy the book. but, now i have a new question. i recently read in my GameInformer magazine, that im subscribed to, that they are making a RE 4. i wonder if Perry will novilize it as well. it is really a toss-up. she might just because thats what she does, but then she might not because there arent any zombies or umbrella in the new RE. i can only hope she does, i would hate to see her imagintion on RE go to waste
