About the Author

Mike Lockington is a veteran police officer with many years of experience, including leadership in employee wellness within a large Canadian police service. With firsthand experience in high-risk, trauma-exposed situations, he offers grounded, practical insight into front line well-being.
Lockington holds a Master’s in Public Safety and is pursuing a PhD in Urban Health, focusing on the connection between community and occupational wellness. Known for his clear, actionable advice, he wrote this book to help professionals, leaders, and families protect the health of those who serve. This is his first published book.
