Resistance through writing
Literary creativity is not the only thing that confronts terrorism and authoritarianism. Literary criticism itself must assume this role, contributing to the fight against corruption by analyzing resistance narratives and the ability to deliver the necessary shocks. If cognitive shock is the primary sign of writing ugliness as a writing of opposites, this shock manifests itself on several levels... some related to the shock of bourgeois sentiment regarding issues of social propriety... some related to the shock of this sentiment regarding writing issues and techniques... and some related to the necessary accompaniments that result from these two shocks, making writing ugliness a provocative genre! As a result, it is somewhat exhausting for the reader, because it does not allow them to practice the habits of mental relaxation acquired from the prevailing culture, nor does it offer them the same pleasures of entertainment. Rather, it imposes constant vigilance, constant attention, and a mood of generating questions. In other words, it forces the reader to resemble it in resisting the usual, the familiar, the banal, and the common. Hence the desire to sail in worlds that are not devoid of dark areas, but of weather and storms!
