Meet the Author

Kris writes sizzling contemporary romance, pure and simple. Well, maybe not that pure! They're sexy stories about couples who fall in love, and into bed along the way, just like real people do. If it's fine, she gardens. If it's wet, she writes. And if the writing's going well, the garden can look after itself. She's an advertising copywriter and a decor specialist, and the author of 'The Boat Builder's Bed'. More than two million copies have now been downloaded free, and giving away a taste of her work with this one kick-started sales of all her others. Her seven Wellington Series novels are set in the capital city so she can make use of the beautiful harbor in the plots. Her three Heartlands novels follow couples who live in more remote country areas of New Zealand. Her all-time best-seller is 'Taken by the Sheikh'. There's now also 'Desired by the Sheikh', and these are not quite your usual sheikh stories. She has the first novel of her Scarlet Bay series well under way. Four books are now available in Spanish. There's a Spanish version of her website http://www.krispearson.com - click the flags at the top right of it to change languages. ~ ~ ~ Kris es una chispeante autora de romántica contemporánea, pura y simplemente. ¡Bueno, quizá no tan pura! I liked this one. My biggest complaint would be that I wish there was more to the ending, it felt really rushed to me and I want to know about what happened with the characters.

Nick and Sammy young love stumbled on later in life and is still there in there hearts. Great story line with a happy ending. Couldn't put it down. Read it in 2 days. Finally a book that has a ending that you don't have to buy another one to see what happens. Will obviously be buying more from this author..*****

It's a good read, I won't deny that. It starts out with Sammie and Nicky. They know each other from AWHILE ago, when Sammie was just starting to come of age. Of course, Nicky being 16 at the time, got a little curious. I'm not gonna describe the things in this book, for although I'd like to think that children don't read these reviews, an don't buy the books when they see a few "interesting" words, you can never be sure. I will say, Nicky seems to like Sammie even more now. But, he's also on a mission. He finds out he was adopted, and doesn't know who his mother, or father, is. Sammie tries to help, and is going through her late grandmother's diary one day. She sees Nicky's name, and finds out who his mom is. She's pretty surprised. But, then she finds something in Nicky's drawer at BodyWork's, where they both work. Nicky being the boss, and Sammie being his P.A. Sammie breaks it off with Nicky, not knowing the story. He tracks her down at the airport, and tells her the actual story. They travel to Italy, where Sammie helps reunite mother and son, and reunites with an old friend as well. Of course, this old friend is Nicky's mom. I would recommend this book for ages 18+. Violence, language, and other things in this book. Now, I know kids like to read about 1) violence. The violence in the book ain't too bad, just a few broken hands, maybe a bloody face... 2) language. Now, I know most of us have gone about our daily lives hearing simple phrases like "F***" or "A**" or even "You B******!" But this book has many more that I didn't know were said... And that brings us to 3) "Other things". Now, this is up to your parents, if your somewhere between 10-17. Of course, parents don't always put what I like to call... "Surveillence" on what their kids are reading. When I was younger, I used to sneak in "inappropriate" books. I was a teen, what else am I expected to do? I would "borrow" a book from mom or dad, and when they asked if I had seen it, I lied, said "no", and placed it in a place they would easily over-look it. Now kids, I am NOT giving you permission to do that. One day, I got sloppy. I kept it in plain view on my bed, because my parents almost NEVER came into my room. Well, it was mom's "cleaning day" and she came in after I went to school. When I got home that afternoon, I had a hand waiting for me. Mom asked if I knew where her book was, ad I said, "no, mama." Well, she pulled it from behind her back, and dad hit me about 5 times, give or take a few...
