A resource guide for art teachers, art education faculty, and students and art program directors. The authors' Educating Artistically Talented Students (Syracuse Univ. Pr., 1984) examined the history and theory of education for students with special talent in the visual arts. The current Resources volume presents summary information about a variety of state policies, state and local programs, organization of new programs, identification of students, and instructional materials. Appendixes contain sample forms, testing instruments with samples of graded test responses, and a list of organizations and other resources. Specific teaching activities are not presented. This volume is limited by the relatively small number of programs, instruments, and resources it includes but it is a valuable starting point. Recommended for specialized collections. Kathryn W.
