"Rest Lightly" includes 29 tomb inscriptions and additional 13 plates/illustrations with transcriptions and annotations from the 1st through the 7th centuries revealing a somber thread of the tie that binds us to our human family across the ages. Tender and passionate, Shore's collection leaves the reader with a sense of comfort and serenity rather than the feeling of melancholy often evoked by the subject of death.
