What a delightful sequel, to Standing on Stolen Ground, Restless Hearts is! Though it is not a continuation of Lila and Joe’s story from Book 1, it IS a continuation of the area which is dear to the author’s heart.
Ginny is certainly a feisty protagonist! I was reminded of my own stubborn Scottish temper every time she’d get riled up, especially when Collin annoyed her! I don’t know why he didn’t realize sooner that she would almost always get her way, but that’s a man for you.
Collin served in WWI and suffers from PTSD – though it’s not called that in the book. What he saw while overseas and went through is briefly mentioned a few times before he finally is honest with Ginny and tells her the truth of what his nightmares are really about.
Though they married because he felt it was right, it’s soon very obvious to the reader that they are meant for each other. Ginny needs someone who will stand up to her, and Collin needs someone to take care of him.
Granny Virginia, however, is most likely my favorite character. She has spunk, class, and independent like no other.
I highly recommend reading this series all together as you don’t want to leave the Blue Ridge Mountains after you finish each book. I can’t wait to get my hands on the next installment and hope there’s a fourth in the works!

Read the first book in the Brides of Blue Ridge series and this second installment does not disappoint! One of those books that you start reading and then can't put down. Loved the heat between Collin and Ginny. I highly recommend it to anyone. Was this review helpful? Yes NoThank you for your feedback. Report this reviewThank you, this review has been flagged.
