Editorial Reviews
All Music Guide - Thom Jurek
Songwriter Maxime le Forestier is still capable of writing thought-provoking, moving songs 36 years after his debut offering, as evidenced by Restons Amants (Lovers Return). While his voice is a half-step deeper, it is still fully resonant, and his poetic language is razor-sharp even when encased in soft melodies. His sardonic sense of humor is expressed on "Le Juge et la Blonde," and his duet with Emmanuelle Béart on" Hymne à la Soie," the album's closer, is especially moving.
