Meet the Author

I was born and educated in the United States, and have spent over half my life living in the UK, China, Italy, Taiwan, Japan, and now Singapore. While my Bachelor's and Master's degrees were in Chinese studies, I spent over a decade training and coaching people in communication skills both for their professional and personal lives.

I have been writing for over 20 years, and now do so full-time. My first novel, 'Lillian on Life', was published in January 2015, to wonderful reviews from the likes of O, the Oprah Magazine, The Washington Post, and Kirkus Reviews. My next novel is due out in 2016.

If you prefer non-fiction to fiction, in 2009 I wrote 'Present for Success', a handbook for people who want to overcome their anxiety and deliver more interesting and memorable presentations, and collaborated with Shirley Taylor on 'Communication: Your Key to Success', which offers helpful techniques for developing important fundamental communication skills. Both were published by Marshall Cavendish.
