Overview

From New York Times and USA Today bestselling author, Jana DeLeon, RESURRECTION IN MUDBUG, aka The Return of Helena Henry!

Just when you thought it was safe to go back into the bayou...

Jadyn St. James is excited to start her job as game warden in Mudbug, Louisiana, and hopes it is the beginning of a new and improved life. She expected to run across any number of odd occurrences in the small bayou town, but she never thought her life would be in danger within a matter of days. And that's not even the worst thing.

Helena Henry was hell on wheels-both alive and dead-when she resided in Mudbug, and a year in heaven hasn't improved her one bit. Now, she's back and has brought trouble with her.

When it becomes apparent that a major crime is occurring in Mudbug, Colt Bertrand is more than frustrated to be saddled with an inexperienced game warden, especially one who looks like Jadyn. But it soon becomes apparent that they need to put their differences aside if they expect to solve the crime, and more importantly, stay alive.

Meet the Author

New York Times and USA Today bestselling author Jana DeLeon was raised in southwest Louisiana among the bayous and gators. Her hometown is Carlyss, but you probably won't find it on a map. Her family owned a camp located on a bayou just off the Gulf of Mexico that you could only get there by boat. The most important feature was the rope hammock hanging in the shade on a huge deck that stretched out over the water where Jana spent many hours reading books.

Jana and her brother spent thousands of hours combing the bayous in a flat-bottom aluminum boat, studying the natural habitat of many birds, nutria and alligators. She would like you to know that no animals were injured during these "studies," but they kept makers of peroxide in business.

Jana has never stumbled across a mystery or a ghost like her heroines, but she's still hopeful.

She now resides in Dallas, Texas, with the most spoiled Sheltie in the world.

    Good, not great

Helena is the best part of the series, and this book. It seems that all the main characters are oh so attractive and when they hook up i felt like this was a book i had read before in the series. If not for Helena and her laugh out loud moments, i would not have finished it.

2.5 stars. I really loved the first 3 books in the Ghost in Law series but this was a major let down. The story was hastily put together & was reppetetive at times. Helena's antics became tiresome. May her ghost rest in peace for good

    Cute series!

I found these books quite a while ago and enjoyed the series. My sister found the new one, so I got it and read it on my Nook. I got the paperbacks of the 4 previous ones for my parents and sister to read as well (we share books). I really enjoy this series and hope the author continues to write using these characters/series. Very enjoyable to read.

    Great Addition to the Series!

Resurrection in Mudbug is the fifth in this series by Jana DeLeon. Just when you thought Mudbug was safe, the mysteries begin anew. With many of the same characters and a few new ones, this smart and funny mystery has surprises and twists that keep you entertained and from figuring out who dunnit. The new game warden can see Helena, that only means trouble! The new sheriff knows nothing about Helena, but determined to help and lookout for the spunky new game warden, they are a great team and this book is a lot of fun - and who would have thought a ghost, could be afraid of ghosts? Get to know Mudbug, its a blast!

this is the newest in the ghost in law series. if you haven't read them, you should! jaydn has family in mudbug and she thinks it's a safe place to be a game warden. not so. suddenly she is caught up with a gun running mob, and a sheriff that thinks she is just a bit of fluff. sheriff colt learns different, and between the two of them and maryse's husband, luc, the ending is good. good because they caught the bad guys? or good because colt and jaydn find themselves attracted to each other? i'm hoping an other ghost-in-law story is coming down the road. ms. jana really knows the bayou, and that is what m akes these stories to good to read. besides, gotta find out what happens with colt and jaydn!

If you haven't read the Mudbug series by Jana DeLeon you are truly missing out on an outstanding, hysterical mystery series. I read the original three books and like many others thought that Helena's story had ended. Much to my surprise and delight Mrs. DeLeon has come out with Resurrection In Mudbug and it lives up to its predecessors wonderfully. You have the same characters that we feel in love with in the first three books along with introductions to new characters you just can't help but like and best of all... It's still funny! If you haven't read the first three don't worry you don't HAVE to to follow the story but I highly recommend doing so just out of enjoyment!
