John Piper really disappointed me with this book. It was predictable....yes, we should serve God our whole lives, and not just coast in our latter years. Agreed. He even said it well. However, he asserted that unless a person work to maintain their salvation, they will not have a home in heaven. This is VERY contrary to Scripture, and really ruined the book for me. Don't waste your life. Good point. Don't cheapen the blood of Christ by saying it is insufficient to save from sin. It's by grace, not of ourselves.....I want my money back. I will not be reading anything by Piper again.
