Overview

Ten years ago, Andria Thomas celebrated her high school graduation with a retreat at a Wyoming guest ranch. She never expected to fall for a young cowboy during her horseback riding lessons. There was no way that she would sacrifice her well planned life for a long distance relationship with a guy she’d only known for two weeks!

Now, after a bitter divorce, Andria returns to the V-Bar Guest Ranch, and is surprised to find that not only did Jake Walker still work on the ranch; he was running the place. The last thing she needs is another disruption, and re-treating herself to a fling with an old lover is not the way to relax and regroup. It was a good thing she’d have help resisting his charm, thanks to Jake’s wife. Time for a hasty Retreat.

Meet the Author

Always a voracious reader, Alanna began writing poetry in grade school, and short stories in high school. She started her first novel, Wyoming Solace, years ago with a legal pad and pencil, often written in the wee hours of the morning when she needed something to do to relax. Before long the story lived on her computer desktop, where it sat patiently awaiting periodic visits from the reluctant writer. After her first release, she moved to romantic suspense and contemporary romance, but keeps the cowboys close to her heart.

She loves to write stories to keep a reader guessing, and surprise them in the end.

Alanna continues to write love stories, because who doesn’t love a happy ending?

I read Treat and wanted to know more about the characters so I purchased Retreat and am so glad I did. Loved the romance and all it encompassed. Lovely story, thoroughly enjoyed it. If one is looking for a love story, this is it!

I read Treat and liked it, so I bought this one about 6 hours ago. Now, when it opened it says over 1500 pages, it's more over 1400, but I already finished it. It is just awesome. Great pace, characters to love and cry with, truly great love story, and one heck of a surprising ending. Highly recommend to anybody that likes romance, and it is not overly explicit. Just unbelievably good. All words fail to express how good i think it is.

Once I read Treat and starting looking at other books by this author and found Retreat I was so pleased. It was nice finding out what happened to the characters in the future, how the rest of their lives go. Funny with a few twists. Recommended.

This was a pretty good book. I'm an avid reader and when I can't put a book down, then I know it's a good one. She did a great job in portraying the landscape surrounding the characters and the dept of the emotion between them as well. The only (slight) problem I had with this book was how short it was. I thought it was going to be longer, and I was disappointed to find out otherwise. But other than that, I would recommend it to anyone.
