Editorial Reviews

From Barnes & Noble

With the help of this enticing new book, the past can become part of your interior design future. Whether you are a flea market aficionado or an auction-house habitué, retro furniture has an undeniable allure, but mastering its ABCs can be difficult without a reliable sourcebook. With dozens of titles already to her credit, modern design and architecture historian Fay Sweet (Vintage Furniture; Scandimodern) has validated her ability to discern and express meaningful patterns in the evolution of design styles. In Retro Furniture Classics, she presents each furniture movement chronologically, focusing on key designers and providing descriptive profiles and photographs of their most iconic works. An attractive coffee table hardcover.
