He's a mess...

Asher Knight has three constants in his life: music, beautiful women, and a bottle of Jack. He lives for the next gig, the next city, and dreams only of a life spent in front of an arena full of screaming fans. But Asher's nomad ways come to a sudden stop when he learns he's the father of a three-year-old from a past relationship and suddenly this rock star bad boy is forced to put down roots.

Only she can clean up

Gloria Shields is no one's fool. Sure, the sexual chemistry between her and Asher has always been intense, but she'd never risk giving her heart to a man who has a perfect record for breaking them. Except the man desperate to make things right with his newfound son is nothing like the rock god she's guarded her heart against for years. And it isn't long before she starts to wonder if life with this bad boy might be the best thing that's ever happened to her.

Great series....Love all the eight characters....However, the only thing is, I felt Charlie & Evan's story wasn't wrapped up. With everyone else finding bliss with each other and future children, Jessica left Charlie's issue with conceiving a cliffhanger; was she able to have a baby or was Lyon it for them?

Super hot like all of Jessicas books. Love the chemistry between Glo and Asher, their give and take is so them. Sad to see this series end but can't wait to read future series!

I received this copy from the publisher on Netgalley in exchange for an honest, unbiased review. This is the third story I have read from Jessica Lemons and is the 4th book in the Second Chance series. Having been briefly introduced in the previous book to Gloria and Asher's characters you find out fast that this is going to be a totally different story then Connor and Faiths.. I think Jessica did a great job of developing the characters from the moment that they were introduced in the previous book and carried that over into their book. In addition, she did a great job of giving you background history on the relationship between the characters so that you could better understand the why they were reaction the way they were. What I find the most appealing in Jessica's books is the way that she sets the scenery of the story. She does a great job of focusing the right amount of time on the actual love story but also gives you a great visual of the small town that they are living in. Like many of my favorite romance authors she really makes you want to live in this small town and wish that it was an actual place to visit. I think that if there was something that I would change or add about the book is maybe give a little more background history on Asher. I think she did a great job of giving recent history but didn't dig into his past younger years as much as she did with Gloria. I think that with Gloria's history being revealed you understood her reservations with opening her heart and worrying that it would get hurt, All in all this is a great read from awesome author. I can't wait to see what her next story has in store for us.

Oh my how I loved Asher! He is the ultimate bad boy rockstar and yet he has a soft side to him that you wouldn't expect. Gloria is his publicist and as happens, they get together and each of their worlds was rocked. But Gloria has been hurt by too many people in her past. And she keeps pushing Asher away. But Asher won't go. He knows that Gloria is the one for him...even if he doesn't recognize that those are his feelings yet. This story is part of a series, which I didn't know, but can definitely be read as a stand alone. However I'm going to be going back and reading the rest of the groups stories. Jessica Lemmon did a great job of letting you know enough that you weren't lost and pulling you in to want to read about the others. Great job!

3 - "No more whiskey for me..." Stars! This is the second book I have read by this author, the first one didn’t really blow me away, and Return of the Bad Boy definitely falls into the ’didn’t love it, didn’t hate it’ category. I think my main issues were the on/off relationship between Ash and Glo, in that it was all over the place for most of the book. But you can tell that Jessica has built a great world of characters and stories around the town of Evergreen Cove, Ohio, and I wonder if I would have been better off starting my reading experience of the series at book one, and not diving straight in at this the fourth book. Women came easy for him. Except for one woman in particular. The one woman he wanted. Mainly because I think that reading the previous three novels would have given the depth to this couple and the past between them, and how they got to the point they are at, and in getting their story told, because a lot of the time I struggled to understand why either of them were really looking to try and build a relationship with each other. But you can tell from the get-go that this isn’t the start of the relationship between them moving from colleagues to partners, and it would appear that events two years previously, as well as in the prologue for this book, have had a massive impact in the way their relationship currently stands, and especially Gloria who, abandonment issues aside, is reluctant to go back down the road to romance with Asher. Getting her into his bed was one thing. Getting her to stay was another. I liked Ash, sweetly persistent, he didn’t really hit the 'Bad-Boy' category for me, more mis-understood and in the wrong place at the wrong time, I hated the whole 'Baby-momma' drama, but that isn’t a surprise as I always hate drama with ex’s in my books, especially as this woman could barely be classed as an ex, and is everything abhorrent any self-respecting woman would consider likeable. "Not letting you go, so you may as well stop fighting me." I find myself on the fence again, as I was with my previous read from this author in that although I sort of enjoyed Return of the Bad Boy I had enough niggles with it that I can’t say it really made me want to look into reading more from her at this point. I know I am in the minority (again) with my feelings, but hey you cannot please all the people all the time. I certainly wouldn’t discourage others from reading Ash and Glo’s story; it just didn’t do a whole lot for me. ARC generously provided through RockStar PR, via Netgalley, in exchange for the above honest review.

4 star I was pulled right into this story. The story has laughs, pain, secrets, and heartbreak. Before reading this story please read the below books first Bringing Home the Bad Boy (Second Chance, #1) Rescuing the Bad Boy (Second Chance, #2) A Bad Boy for Christmas (Second Chance, #3) This is Gloria and Asher’s story. Asher is a rocker but he is also an author of children’s book. He is sweet and sexy. Asher wants Gloria and will do anything to prove that. You can feel the love he has for her. Gloria is stiff at times and resists Asher. When they do finally get together it is explosive. Can Asher keep her in the moment or will one step forward in the relationship be 3 steps back by the next day. You get to see Asher interact with his son Hawk. This was a different rocker story then I was used to but don’t worry Asher is no saint. I loved these characters and also the side characters. I felt I was able to connect with the characters and the story was a great read. I recommend this book.

Another second chance romance--yay! Asher's decided to calm down his rock star lifestyle--mainly because of the three-year-old son he recently discovered he had (one night stand with a groupie, ugh--but hey, the kid's adorable at least) and has bought a lake house in Evergreen Cove so that he can be near Hawk. He's trying to pull himself together for his son, and battling Hawk's mother (and grandmother) for the right to see his son more. It just so happens that Gloria, his agent and sometime-lover has recently moved to town too, though she's been avoiding him pretty studiously. Until the start of the book, that is, when Glo decides to suck it up deliver a mis-delivered check to her client. And then watch out... I enjoyed watching Ash become the kind of guy his son could look up to some day, just as much as I enjoyed watching him pursue Gloria for all he was worth. Man, did the guy have it bad, and it made for some cute moments, like this one: So, in a way he lied to Even when he said he wasn't going to take advantage of her in her passed-out state. He was going to cuddle with her, and he was going to cuddle hard. Seriously, too adorable. Unfortunately for Ash, he is reduced to such subterfuge quite a bit, because Gloria's got some major issues when it comes to families and commitments. Not only does she (try to) resist Ash for all she's worth for a good chunk of the book, she's also convinced that her less-than-stellar experiences with family will be a liability when it comes to Ash trying to create one with his son. Honestly, her nearly neurotic hesitance over these issues got to be a bit much after a while, though Ms. Lemmon does make a convincing argument for why she's like that. (It's still frustrating to read, though.) But then Ash spends some more time with Hawk, and the cuteness makes up for so much. Not to mention the humor. This is Ash, after spending an exhausting day on the lake with his son, one of the first times he's had him without Hawk's mother and grandmother watching his every move: Things had been less like the music video he'd directed in his head and more like a nightmare on the open water. LOL! Obviously, spending time with three-year-olds was not something the rock star had a lot of experience with...yet. If you've seen Ash and Glo as secondary characters in other series books, watching them find their HEA will be particularly satisfying, I imagine. Even if you haven't, though, it's quite a ride--and the ending? Will give you all the feels :) Return of the Bad Boy is the fourth in the series, and the couples from #1-3 all show up in this one quite a bit. I managed okay not having read the other three (yet!), though at times I did feel a bit out of the loop--not enough to dim my enjoyment of Ash and Gloria's story, though. Rating: 4 stars / B+ I received a complimentary copy in exchange for an honest review.

Evergreen Cove's resident bad boy is coming home and you don't want to miss his sizzling hot return! Asher Knight is lead vocalist of Knight Times. He has the life he has always dreamed of living off the road, playing music and enjoying a variety of women. When one of his past conquests calls him up and tells him he has a 3 year old son Asher's life takes a sudden u turn back to his home town. Gloria "Glo" Shields has recently moved from Chicago to the little town of Evergreen Cove. She is starting to make a new life for herself which includes new and old friends. Glo works for herself and is an agent to some big names, like Asher Knight. Glo and Asher used to be an item once upon a time but all Glo has left from the relationship is heartache. When Asher moves back to town on a semi-permanent basis to spend time with his son Glo suddenly finds herself being brought into the mix as well. I loved this book. I have been waiting for it since the author first teased about these two in Rescuing the Bad Boy. If you haven't read any of the series yet I would highly recommend starting! I received an eARC of this book in exchange for my honest review and opinion. All ratings and opinions stated are my own.

BAD BOY Big HEART Sweet love . . . From The Book Junkie Reads . . . Return of the Bad Boy (Second Chance, #4) . . . BAD BOY! Bad Boy! Bad boy. Wowwie wow. I must seek and find this Evergreen Cove. This is not my first book from Jessica Lemmon, but it is my first in this series. I must say OOOOOOOOOOOOh hot damn. I am so needing to pick up the other. I sooooooooooooooo hope they melt the pages like this one did. I was read to move to the next page but not ready for this to end. I was wanting to hold on for more and then some more. I was impatient to make it to the next page but then not wanting it to end. Asher, Asher, Asher. Can I call you Ash. Where did you come from? Asher is not your typical bad boy rocker. This man has a complete other side to him. It was in the fact that he was a children's book author. This captured my heart strings. This man did not let much get in his way. When it did he found a way around it all. Gloria was our sassy, smart mouth, sexy female with a past and the hots for the wrong man. She knows this to be a fact. Then he sets his eyes on her. She was not sure if she could run fast enough to get away. I have to give it up to Jessica she has brought it and then some. I could read this one again. But this time it will be with the others in the series. I want to get the whole Evergreen Cove experience. **This ARC was provided via NetGalley in exchange for an honest review.**

Funny, sexy and emotionally charged! This story has an amazingly sexy rock star as well as many, many other drool worthy secondary male characters. The many female counterparts to those secondary male characters are pretty awesome too. The clever, sexy banter between Asher and Gloria is so much fun! They complement each other perfectly. So many things are happening to both of them and through it all he's trying to keep her from running. He's definitely got his work cut out for him. This story is real. The drama is emotional and the sex is off-the-charts EXPLOSIVE! Jessica Lemmon knows how to write her rock stars! I have definitely found another one-click author. Received a copy via NetGalley in exchange for an honest review. I was not compensated for my review. I was not required to write a positive review. The opinion expressed is my own.

Book 4 of the Second Chance series by Jessica Lemmon is HOT! A group of friends that grew up spending summers at the lake together continue to share the ups and downs of life with each other. They are sexy bad boys, but one by one, love is reforming them! Asher Knight is a die hard rock star, but he's taming his ways since he found out he's a dad to a 3 year old son from a past fling. He buys a house in Evergreen Cove and settles in to get to know his boy. He's determined to win back Gloria Shields while he's at it! Glo isn't thrilled that Asher is in town. She's been guarding herself against him for years, but to see this new side to him just might be what it takes to send those walls crumbling!

4.5 Stars! Return of the Bad Boy is the second book I have read by Jessica Lemmon. It is a terrific story, with well-developed characters and a roller-coaster plot that kept me engaged from beginning to end. Although I enjoyed this book as a standalone, I believe I would have understood the personalities even more, if I had read at least one of the earlier books in the series. Superstar rocker Asher Knight is not only a successful musician, he also pens exciting adventures for children. He is a good-looking man and recently found out that he is the father to Hawk, his son from a one-night stand with a groupie. Needless to say, Knight has a lot on his plate. He has a small group of really stellar friends that keep him grounded, and a pseudo girlfriend that he ends up falling in love with. Juggling a home and career in Los Angeles, while developing a relationship with his son in his hometown of Evergreen Cove, Illinois, is proving to be a monumental task. Gloria Shields is a successful literary agent in the Cove, and Asher is one of her many clients. She has never felt unconditional love, because her drug-addict parents were unable to give it to her. At the tender age of sixteen, the state put her in foster care. She never finished high-school, but was able to pull herself together and make something of herself. She and Asher seriously dated a while back, but broke up because Gloria misinterpreted Asher's womanizing ways. Now they are back together, taking great care to get to know each other. Gloria is a tough egg to crack and Asher will do everything in his power to have her in his life forever. To begin with, the cover of this book is hot! Asher and Gloria have amazing chemistry and their heat is scorching, both in and out of the bedroom. They are complicated characters and the author does a great job of presenting their strengths and weaknesses. If you enjoy a novel with a strong heroine, an eclectic group of caring friends, and a hero that just won't give up, then check out this book. Complimentary copy provided by the publisher via NetGalley.

I won/received an ARC by Jessica Lemmon in exchange for an honest review. Asher and Gloria's story has been the one most fans of this series have been waiting for since we were first introduced to Evergreen Cove and its wonderful residents in book one. Their story does not disappoint. There are a couple of obstacles that they have to get past in their journey to love. One of which you learn about at the end of A Bad Boy for Christmas. Asher and Gloria can both be stubborn but in different ways. They can also be fun and lovable. You get to meet some new characters along the way and will want to do bodily harm to a specific character. You get to delve deeper into Gloria's past and it helps explain why she is the way she is. Overall it was a great ending to this whole series. Im so sad to say goodbye to all of the characters. I would read the books in order to get the full impact of this relationship and the whole series in general. No cliffhangers for individual books tho.

Return of the Bad Boy by Jessica Lemmon....This is a hot sexy heartwarming read. I was so in love with Asher, oh my, Jessica Lemmons is probably the best author of creating award winning heroes. Asher is a bad boy, who always seems to find new ways to get himself into trouble. Gloria has lead a hard life, but she hasn't let her stop her from reaching her dreams, expect in regards to love. This is a funny, incredibly hot second chance romance, that has plenty of twists and turns. Only Asher could break through Gloria's hard shell, but it is quite the fight. P.S. I love a bad boy with views on maple syrup.

Archer Knight knows his past transgressions cost him a chance with the one woman who has ever meant something to him, and it has been haunting him everyday since she chose to walk away. After finding out one of his little careless encounters brought him a son, he is determined to become a better man, not only for himself, but also for his son and Gloria. He wants to have a relationship with his son, and make-up for lost time with him, which means he must give-up his wild ways and start to live a more stable life. He also knows that the only way he has a chance at winning back Gloria's heart is to prove to her that he is a better man, one that is worthy of her heart, and can be trusted with it. But when he tries to make his move, Gloria surprises him and tries to reverse rolls on him, and isn't so willing to do anything more than a one night fling... and it kills him, and has scrambling to find a way to hold onto her! After having her heart handed back to her in a million pieces Gloria Shields decides it is best to approach her encounters with sexy rocker Asher Knight with extreme caution. Every time they are near one another, there is this undeniable magnetic pull between them, but she is determined to not let it lure her back into his arms. She knows the minute she lets her guard down, he'll be there trying to pull her back in, and doing all he can to try to lure her back into his bed. The one thing she doesn't account for is that Archer is determined to turn over a new leaf and has plans to incorporate her into his new life, and will stop at nothing to reclaim his spot in her heart... question is does she have to strength to keep up her defenses, and fend off his advances when the sexy rocker turns up his charm? From the moment I met Asher, I knew his story was going to leave a mark, there was just something about the cocky bad boy rocker that spoke to me, and had me dying to learn more about him...and I have to admit the man was WELL WORTH THE WAIT!!! After reading his story I was left with a little rocker euphoria, he had me smiling and swooning from the minute he entered the story, and his little spell over me lasted well after the last page was turned. His cocky and domineering personality, caring nature, smooth and sultry one liners, and alluring rocker sex appeal lured me in and had me falling hard for him...and had me dedicating a permanent spot in my heart for him. His undying commitment to make Gloria his forever, and his unwavering dedication to his son was not only something to be admired, but also a beautiful thing to witness... definitely redemption at it's best!! After finishing this read I am certain of two things, one being Ms. Lemmon DEFINITELY knows her bad boys, and second, this sinfully delightful little tale has bestseller written all over it!!! If you like your fairy tales a little of the naughty side, and armed with a bad boy looking to satisfy your every desire, then look no further...this series is perfect for you!! I guarantee Ms. Lemmon's bad boys will steal your heart and leave you tingling in all the right places!!

Another great book in the Bad Boys series. In this one, we meet Asher again. The rockstar/children's book writer has found out he is the dad of a 3 year old little boy, Hawk. He is trying his best when dealing with roadblocks set by Hawk's mom and grandmother. Gloria has been Asher's agent for years. They have had an casual bedmates thing until a Christmas party and a very intense encounter. Now Gloria has been trying to fit in in Evergreen Cove. She just doesn't feel it. Asher has moved into her dreamhouse and is actively trying to pursue a relationship with her. This has her running scared. I love the ups and downs of this story as Asher and Gloria work through each other's issues to make this thing work. I loved the book and loved the way Asher works to break into Gloria's heart!

I love a bad boy. A reformed bad boy is even better. To get from point A to point B took some doing but Jessica Lemmon makes it all worthwhile. So when I got the opportunity to read and review Return of the Bad Boy I was on cloud nine. Asher is the cliche rock star. Women and booze are his vices and music is his passion. Gloria is the one that got away. A surprising revelation reunites Asher and Gloria causing each to reevaluate everything about their past relationship. Jessica Lemmon makes romance irresistible. Whether dealing with a serious subject or purely as an escape her stories are full of love, pleasure and humor.
