Honor and dignity
Chris sause 5th period
I read the book Return With Honor an autobiography about Captain Scott’ O Grady and his story he has been through. I enjoyed the overall message of this book but I didn’t particularly like the way it was written. It wasn’t a bad book by any means. I can respect the man a lot for what he’s been through. He’s been through a whole lot . Overall this was a good book I would recommend it for people that like planes, Air Force, Or find planes and those types of things interesting. Also any body who wants to read an inspirational story. So overall this book gets a positive review from me if it would’ve been written better it would’ve been a great book.
The book starts out on base where Captain Scott O’ Grady is talking about how if you fly one day in a month or once a day for a month you make the same amount of money. I found this interesting because this really shows me they have a love of the job. I found that cool because everybody there loves what they’re doing and they don’t care about the money. That stood out to me because I just thought It was really cool how much they love what they do. That just stood out to me in a cool way.
Captain O’ Grady’s plane crashes which obliviously results in a lot of problems for him. The biggest problem for him that is a direct is that his whole crew dies and he lost all his nessicary supplies. And something else very interesting happens to Captain O’Grady but if you want to know about that then you will just have to buy and then read the book. But what got my respect for captain o grady was the way he handled adversity and handled his self. This is what makes the book so impressive to me. I love how he did this that’s why I would recommend this.
This book was also very detailed which helped a lot while reading it. Like when he said “ I soared through the deep blue sky”. That helped a lot more for me reading than a guy said I flew through the sky. That was very helpful reading that. That was where it was helpful and well written. But at other times I didn’t like the way it was written at all. That is the only problem I had with this book was the writing style.
But overall like I said this is a great book recommend it one hundred percent. Great book great story great message very impressive. But like I said the style is the only thing that holds this book back in a sense. So I would recommend reading this book only if you like certain things.
