Overview

A Hot Sexy Contemporary Romance from New York Times and USA Today Bestselling Author Nadia Lee -- featuring an overprotective alpha billionaire hero who'll move heaven and earth for the woman he loves...

A Hearts on the Line Novel (Book 2)

A TEMPORARY REUNION...

Newly jobless and adrift, former investment banker Kerri Wilson travels to Virginia to see her best friend and regroup, only to run into billionaire playboy Ethan Lloyd. It's been years since she's snuck out of his bed after the most amazing sex of her life, and he's so not her type -- she likes them tall, dark and MANAGEABLE. But he's too hot to resist, and she succumbs to another sizzling, no-strings-attached (or so she thinks) night.

Unwilling to let her go this time, Ethan makes a simple proposition: a job, a place to stay, and an exclusive affair that will end when either of them finds someone else. But with her dark, painful past catching up to her, Kerri may have to bolt again -- even though her heart is telling her to stay. And Ethan's not giving her up without fighting to make their "temporary" arrangement something far more permanent...

**This is a joint review for Vengeful in Love and Reunited in Love**
These great books drew me in from the very beginning. There is a ton of passion, high society people and events, hot guys, relationship drama, and so much more! I loved both sets of characters and both of the story lines were engaging.
Alex and Natalie have this spark from the moment the meet each other. Alex is a seriously sexy alpha male billionaire and Natalie is beautiful, smart, successful, and kind woman. Don’t get me wrong though, she can get seriously feisty and has no problem standing up for herself. Ethan and Kerri actually had a one night stand a long time ago and happened to reconnect. Ethan is the embodiment of hot and knows how to get what he wants. Oh, and he’s also a billionaire, is Alex’s best friend, and works with Alex and Natalie. Kerri is Natalie’s best friend just come back to the states from Hong Kong. She’s used to keeping everyone at arm’s length and is a complete work-a-holic. All four of these characters were great and and they had individual personalities that made me really like them for different reasons.
The characters and plot were well developed and I truly enjoyed reading them. It was interesting to see how all the characters are connected to each other and I’m guessing that some of the characters introduced in these books will show up in future books in the series. I look forward to reading more of them and I’m giving these 2 a rating of 4 out of 5 stars.

Kerri is Natalies best friend from the first book. Who is an iba

Kerri is Natalies best friend from the first book. Who is an ibanker in Hong Kong. She says she is coming to visit Natalie, but Natalie is still gone on her honeymoon. So Natalie has Ethan go pick her up from the airport. Little does know that Natalie is playing matchmaker.
When Ethans family business has some major problems, Ethan talks Kerrie into working for him and to find out what is wrong with the finances. Ethan knows that Kerrie is hiding something, so they agree to be friends with benefits until they find someone else. When both start having more feelings for each other then just friends with benefits. Will Kerrie continue to run from her past that she is trying to hide? Or will she admit to her feelings and face her past so she can have a future?
I loved Kerrie and Ethan! Their relationship was so hot! Can't wait to read the next book and find out who it is about!

We were introduced to both Ethan and Kerri in the first book in the series, so I had a feeling that the second book would be about them. And I had really high hopes for it, but I feel let down a lot.
The storyline seemed very predictable to me. I was just hoping for more suspense, don’t get me wrong, there was plenty of drama in the book, but it was just so obvious what was going to happen next. What was going to go on and everything of the sort I just didn’t enjoy it so much.
Now one thing that I will say about the book is that the smutty scenes? Those are steamy; they were written very well and didn’t cross any lines to what could be considered crude.
I don’t understand the whole medical issues that Kerri was having, because at first it felt like they were going one way and then they just stopped. You weren’t really told what all was going on with that; I just wish there would have been some resolution when it came to those issues.
Overall though, I felt like there could have been some twists and turns in this book that could have been added to where the story could have went better for me.
But despite all of that I did enjoy the read and I will look forward to the next book in the series because I am really interested to find out what is going to happen.

Keri and Ethan had a one night stand 7 years ago. She snuck out of his bed and since then he could never find her. Until she returned to the US from Hong Kong where he ended up being assigned to pick her up from the airport by Alex, his best friend for his wife, Natalie, who happens to be Keri's best friend. While he is keeping her entertained, until their friends get back from their honeymoon, he offers her a job.
It was steamy in all the right points, the book focused on the plot rather then just using a simi-plot just to get to the next hot scene. I loved that. Those scenes just enhanced the story.
This book was very well written. I love the writing style, it flowed well.
I guess for me it was just a bit too predictable.I would have liked it a bit more if it had a major twist in it. Ethan was very very patient with her, when she kept evading answering his questions and leaving a lot of information about herself out of the equation. His solution seemed to just be more sex. Other than that it was a very good book. The characters were likable and for the most part real, the pacing was good, and the storyline was fluid.
This book had very well developed secondary characters and had the perfect amount of drama and romance to keep readers entertained!

Reunited in Love was about Ethan and Kerri who had a one night stand several years before and was set up to meet later by her best friend Natalie. Not wanting to let her go without a trace, Ethan worked his way to getting Kerri in his arms.

I like the plot of this story. I personally find Ethan charming and his ways to making Kerri belong in his arms was simply irresistible.
Kerri on the other hand, has this self preservation which was amazing. I find myself looking forward to how she will open up to something more permanent with Ethan. Of course, Ethan working to get Kerri to feel that way was were the real challenge lies.
I was just a bit disappointed by the way their past was unravelled. It was always told in snippets along the chapters that I was waiting for the big revelation to come. However, I think it would have made me feel the story more if the past was shown perhaps through a flashback instead of just being told through the characters POV. I felt like it was told without emotion when it should be the other way.
The love story between Ethan and Kerri was good. I like how Ethan wormed his way to her heart and how they work to gain each others trust.

I also liked the way the grandfather and the cousin were portrayed. On Ethan's side, it's his protective brother Gavin and Meredith's stepping up to some responsibility and maturity that that I was touched.

All in all, this book from Nadia Lee was an enjoyable read for me.

    My Review:
I have found THE perfect man, so perfect in every way.  Of course he isn’t real, which makes him even more perfect, as nothing can ever happen to burst my love bubble.  Oh Ethan – I feel in love with him rather quickly.  He is rich, he is patient, he is kind, handsome, well built, can cook, dresses well, has his own jet, is thoughtful, employed, generous, oh so skilled, and has enough stamina to make a girl “scream his name five times” in one night.  Where else could we find such a man but in the pages of a book!?!  Ms. Lee has created another entertaining and well written offering that picks up when Vengeful in Love left off, but this time the story focuses on different characters that had small roles in Vengeful.  I find that I really like this idea.  The books can stand alone, and although they continue on with the first story, there are no nasty cliffhangers to annoy me.    And did I mention they are steamy – on yes!  Velvety smooth, and very nicely done Ms. Lee.  I am primed and ready to dive into the next one.

I LOVED this story. Kerri and Ethan are so awesome.
After a one night stand 7 years ago Kerri's friend Natalie throws Ethan back into her life. She quit her job for health and family.
Ethan is determined to get her in his life on a permanent basis. Together they work through the issues of her past as Ethan tries to figure out how to get her forever.
Not only do they have Kerri's problems but Ethan's family company is suffering and his brother is gone.
This story is filled with so much humor, mystery, seriousness and love. I found myself laughing, yelling and being angry at my kindle while reading this story. Their relationship is so real and you are just rooting for them the whole time. A must read if you love romance, comedy dramas
