All Music Guide - Andrew Leahey
Since beginning their career as members of the Clark Family Experience, Sons of Sylvia have been dropped by two labels, plunged into bankruptcy, and plagued with more false starts than a middle-school swim meet. Now signed to 19 Records -- the same label that manages American Idol's alumni -- the guys are more than aware of the power of television, and they've streamlined their debut album accordingly. Revelation is coated with prime-time gloss, featuring a blend of pop songs and rock numbers played with Dobro, mandolin, and other country instruments. It's a record that intends to appeal to everybody, including those who typically avoid country music, and the band appropriately steers clear of twangy material while emphasing more contemporary, country-pop fare.

    Very Nice New Group

This CD is fabulous, though I would not classify it as country music. They have touches and twangs of country on a few songs, but overall it is a pop music album (a good pop album if you like that style of music as well.)
