More than 500 illustrations—including 188 full-color photographs—complement the detailed descriptions of surgical procedures. The book describes the clinical and radiological evaluation of a painful total knee arthroplasty and presents techniques for correcting specific problems, such as malalignments, severe bone loss, medial collateral ligament loss, extensor mechanism loss, and infection. Complete information is provided on all surgical techniques, components, and reconstructive adjuncts that are now in the orthopaedist's armamentarium, including use of stems, bone grafting, constrained components, allografts, and free flaps.
