This is an outstanding hands-on revision of the original book. Dufour, DuFour and Eaker spend considerable time explaining how to overcome objections to developing professional learning communities as well as providing ideas on how to avoid various pitfalls in starting professional learning communities. Revising Professional Learning Communities is much better than the original and is a better tool for school leaders to share with their faculty and staff. As a 17 year teacher and a 15 year administrator this is the book I should have had years ago. Good administrators come and go and often their changes go out the door with them. This books will teach them how to leave a legacy while recognizing that great faculties make a great school. Teacher who read this book will also realize with a little more effort through a joint effort their teaching impact can be greater than before and their enjoyment on the job can be greatly enhanced. Teachers who follow the ideas presented in this book will see the end of teacher burnout.
