Meet the Author

I'm a UK based author specialising in historical paranormal fiction, with all of my stories linked in some way. Immortal witches, spiritualist mediums and street magicians populate my books, along with many other supernatural characters and creatures and even the occasional 'normal' person too, though these are rare. My protagonists tend to be offbeat characters that refuse to be defined by their sense of morality, their incredible powers, or even a pulse. Good or bad, Laura Spencer, James Grey, Georges Steil and Catherine Heppelwhite are not characters that you will easily forget.

More information about my books can be found on my website, including a suggested reading order and some clues as to what lies in store for the characters of Revived, a serial in 21 parts available for free here.

    Incredibly horrible

This is one of the worst novels I have ever read and I read 4 - 5 books a week. All of the characters were so shallow that I didn't like any of them. This story was about an egotistical woman, her handmaiden who she treated like a dog and a spineless bodyguard. Their journey was one ridiculous and unbelievable disaster after another. There has rarely been a book that I have read that had absolutely no redeeming qualities but this book takes first place. To top it off it was over 850 pages long. Even the ending was horrible despite the fact that one of the characters died. What a waste of time!! I ended up skimming most of it. When I found myself getting angry at how innane this book was I quit! My advice is to not waste your time. Sorry!

    Strange story.

I got it because of the cover. I love dragons.
The story itself has no dragons and is weird enough that I kept reading.
