There may be a few other tracks that could have made the cut, but what is here provides an effective introductory sampler to Winwood's wide-ranging career.

"STEVE WINWOOD HAS ALWAYS BEEN A MUSIC RISK TAKER&MUSIC MAKER

WHEN I WAS IN HIGH SCHOOL STEVE WINWOOD WAS KNOWN AS "STEVIE".FROM THE BEGINNING TO SHAKA KHAN SINGING WITH THIS MAESTRO,THE VOICE AND THE FIRST COUPLE OF NOTES,I GET "TINGLY". S. WINWOOD WANTS SOMEBODY TO FEEL THAT TRUE ELECTRIC VIBE. HE IS BLUE EYES OF SOUL TO THE CORE.THE UNREQUIETED LOVE SONGS IMPLORE ALL OF US TO "TAKE THE RISK" AND JOURNEY WITH HIM. TO SEE HIM LIVE IS TO BE ENTRALLED,ENRAPTURED AND ALIVE. DO NOT TARRY ON LOSING THIS CHANCE OF INCREDIBLE MUSIC AND VOCALS. IF STEVE WINWOOD CANNOT GRAB YOU,THEN NO ONE CAN GET CLOSE TO YOU,A PITY.
