Written while the composer Robert Starer was sitting awaiting Jury duty, this concise method of understanding compound rhythms, mixed meter, and rhythmic independence, stems from the pioneering book rhythmic training by Paul Hindemith. When used in a class setting the fun is doubled by concerted performance of the examples. This approach is clear, concise and well thought out.Was this review helpful?
