    I Also Recommend:

    Excellent book for self-starters!

The age of elegance truly ended when the flappers bobbed their long hair, shortend their dresses and generally tried to become like men. The art of ribbon work practically died out at that time. This book gives you an overall history with lovely samples to view. It then advances to the supplies you will need to take up this gentle art, instructions for flowers, berries, and leaves and numerous projects. What I like about ribbon work is that it is portable and can be taken along with you while you are waiting for children at the dentist, etc. This is a wonderful book for the self-starter and will fire your imagination to get started creating lovely silk ribbon flowers. There is also a resource section at the end of the book. I wish it was more extensive, with web addresses, but an online search should bring up sites that sell supplies. So far, I've found most of my supplies at Joanne Fabrics and our two craft stores, Michael's and Hobby Lobby.
