Overview

In late January, 2009, Robert Kiyosaki launched CONSPIRACY OF THE RICH - a free online book which was written in serial basis to help people understand how the current recession came about, and what they need to learn on how to survive through the coming rough years.

An unprecedented publishing event for Kiyosaki and The Rich Dad Company, CONSPIRACY OF THE RICH is an interactive, "Wiki-style" project in which Kiyosaki has invited feedback, commentary, and questions from readers across the globe.

The response so far has been totally fantastic. Millions and millions of readers have flocked to the website (www.conspiracyoftherich.com) to read what Robert has to say about the recession, and the readers have posted thousands of comments. Some of those reader comments will even be included in the final tradepaper version.

Editorial Reviews

From Barnes & Noble
This book is the result of an exemplary online interactive project during which Kiyosaki invited the millions of Rich Dad fans to provide feedback, comments, and questions that would form the basis of the contents. That cutting-edge technique is fascinating, of course, but the money question is "What is the book about?" The answer is simple: Rich Dad's Conspiracy of the Rich is designed to help average Joes and Janes through these harrowing economic times. Sharpened over several months in response to several thousand reader queries and commentaries, the book offers a no-frills guide to wading through our present financial muck.
Publishers Weekly
Like many other business books on the market, Kiyosaki's latest explains the origins of the economic crisis and how best to weather the storm and restore financial standing. But its clarity, hands-on approach, and practical tips make it far superior and user-friendly than its competitors. By offering bonus PDF charts and graphs, Kiyosaki allows listeners to go one step beyond the average audio book. Mallow gives a solid reading that conveys the material in an accessible, user-friendly manner stripped of theatrics to highlight the sound advice. Mallow's tone—serious but accessible, informative and never preachy—yields a sober and sincere performance that does the material justice. A Grand Central hardcover (Reviews, Sept. 21). (Oct.)

Meet the Author

Robert T. Kiyosaki
Robert T. Kiyosaki

Robert Kiyosaki is the bestselling author of the RICH DAD POOR DAD, which is the bestselling personal finance book of all time.

Good To Know

On his success, Kiyosaki told us, "I've had all six of my books reach the New York Times bestseller list, which is especially rewarding seeing as I flunked out of high school twice because I couldn't write. It just goes to show you that we learn from our mistakes."

In our interview, Kiyosaki said that his time in Vietnam was "a great experience for me.... I learned that to live in fear of dying was not living. I crashed three times in Vietnam -- but my crews always came back alive."

A major rugby fan, Kiyosaki has played all over the world.

According to Kiyosaki, "the power behind Rich Dad is women -- my business partners Kim Kiyosaki and Sharon Lechter."

    10% Great, 10% sales job, 80% SOS

Mr. Kiyosaki does a super job explaining the current situation with regards to the US Dollar, debt, and gold. Unfortunately, this is only about 10 percent of the book. It seems like he is attempting to use this book to sell his other books (which are very good) and games. Plus he restates much of what was in his other books.

I had much difficulty with Mr. Kiyosaki repeating himself within this book. I listened to this book on CD and several times I had to check to see that I didn't insert a CD that I had already listened to. I hadn't. How many times does he tells us, "...President Nixon, without authorization from Congress, took us off the gold standard." How many times does he tell us, "... Cashflow 101 is like Monopoly on steriods." And the worse one, how many times does he say, "Kim and I...", Kim and I...", "Kim and I...", "Kim and I..." ENOUGH ALREADY, PLEASE!!!!

Besides being irritating, this book has little new that will help the reader. The reader will be much better off buying Mr. Kiyosaki's other books such as Rich Dad, Poor Dad, Cashflow Quadrant, Prophecy, Who Took My Money, and the Real Book of Real Estate.

I have been upgrading my financial training. This book has helped me to formulate a very competitive approach to the importance of learning the new rules of money. Residual streaming is the only way to survive!!

    I Also Recommend:

    Relevant to our time

I first began reading the online version of this book when Robert first started his experiment. I personally have learned many useful applications from this book. I would recommend this book to everyone. I purchased one copy of it and already have a waiting list of 4 people who are looking to read this book after I'm finished. Check it out for yourself.

Good information, not sure about the advice

Kiyosaki documents the evolution of the financial system very well, and poses questions to the reader's understanding of the financial system and common terms of money vs. currency. Compared to some other finance and economy books, the writing style is more suitable for a general audience. However, the advice that living frugally is not a solution is debatable.
