I am not a big Civil War history buff, but this book was so engaging and full of background information and even romance that anyone will find something to love. Two Irish families set out to find a better life in the United States and end up on two separate sides of this country. Yet through struggles and difficulties, both find success and love at the end of a bitter war that neither one really understood or believed in. Even with a full 600 pages, I was able to read it over a long weekend because I just didn't want to put it down. I recommend it to anyone who enjoys action packed, historically accurate life stories where true love wins in the end.Was this review helpful? Yes NoThank you for your feedback.
