    Exceptional guidebook to visiting England

    In addition to the usual historical and cultural info that all guidebooks have there are two other factors that make this one exceptional. First, there are more economy recommendations than any other guidebook I have ever used. Second, there are many good practical suggestions for traveling between cities/towns that can be used to both save time and money. This a truly a guidebook one can use daily/nightly to very good effect.

    Great book for first time visitors to England

    Rick Steves' England 2009 was very informative and answered a lot of the questions I had concerning an upcoming visit to England. The book gives details on the best way to convert money, how to research train/bus routes and different restaurants to visit. A 'conversion chart' for English slang was helpful but I was a little disappointed that it did not have a map of the 'tube' system within London but that was easy to find online. I would recommend this book to anyone who will be visiting England in the future.
