    very practical for the traveler

I bought this to prepare for a trip to France. I like how many practical phrases are included. Some of the other language training software I looked at did not have very much practical info for a traveler.

Must have for a new traveler in France

This little guide book helped me survive two weeks in France. It has an excellent coverage of all things needed to communicate in French, including little tips for survival in a new culture. This American really appreciated having this pocket-sized life saver!

    Extensive and Useful

This book has everything conceivable. While I'm glad I have it, Rick's standard Paris guidebook has enough language/phrases to help you through your travels. If you're not buying a Rick Steve's guidebook I would recommend this for your translation needs. Faster (at least for me)than searching on a phone app.
