Best of a very good bunch

There are larger guides, some with amazing colored pictures and drawings, some with fold-out maps, and some with as much history as you can handle. But Steves and Openshaw concentrate on helping TODAY'S visitor to London. Compact enough to carry with you, small B&W pictures that'll ring true when you see the real thing, hand-drawn maps that'll get you where you need to go, and enough history to bring the past alive but not make you a PhD.
