Of red-hot spots!*

Once again, J. Patrick Lewis and Debbie Tilley have joined their talents in a poetry collection with a riddle-lightful twist. Each of the 32 poems is a separate game for kids: a riddle that they must solve with the help of generous clues in the sing-song text and the bright, funny watercolor paintings. The result is an interactive, educational, and super-silly poetry collection that will tickle and tease every little riddle lover.

Editorial Reviews

Children's Literature - Children's Literature
This quirky and imaginative collection of riddles in rhyme will delight all ages. Each page contains an image and a riddle with the answer written backwards at the bottom. "My father's brother's handsome nephew and Uncle's mother's daughter's son meet every morning in the mirror. Who is he?-Me!" On another page the illustrator has drawn a fire-breathing dragon who has just eaten a bowl of 5 Alarm Chili while firemen hose him down. "With men in suits/And rubber boots/It goes to lots/Of red-hot spots." The answer is, of course, a fire truck. This lovely book follows on the heels of another very popular Lewis/Tilley collaboration entitled Riddle-icious.
