This story is about a group of men called the Wild Riders. They work for a section of the Government but they can not be "recognized". Lily is a very smart headstrong woman that loved Mac so long ago and has never forgotten him, his Harley, or how he broke her heart. She is a Private Investigator and is on a case at a museum. When Mac appears to have broken in and stolen something. He can't tell her what the assignment is and where the mysterious vial is going. She is convinced that once a thief always a thief and she doesn't want to trust him. Since Mac can't tell her anything he is forced to take her with him in order to protect his mission and her life. I really liked this story and recommend it to anyone who loves suspense, drama and erotic romance. From what I understand this is the 1st Wild Riders series, the second is Riding Temptation and the third will be out in 2009 called Riding on Instinct.

action-packed second chance erotic romantic suspense thriller

Feeling a strong need to prove herself without her daddy¿s contacts and influence, wealthy socialite Lily West left Texas. However, before he can get very far with his explanation that he works undercover for the government, someone tries to kill both them. Mac knows why and believes he and Kitty need to flee on his motorcycle. He grabs the consignment he came to purloin and persuades Lily to hide with him for safety sake. Not her best

I've read a few Jaci Burton stories and liked them quite a bit. This one was inconsistent, with too many elements that bugged (and therefore distracted) me. The premise and plot were fine, the characters good (although Lily's initial reactions were the first thing that bugged me), the action well-done. It was details here and there that were unbelievable and irritating. If the sex hadn't been so hot, I would have given it two stars.

Good... but not great.

I enjoyed reading the book but I spent more time than I'd like wishing I could knock some sense into both of them. I know if they opened up at the beginning that the story was pretty much done but the constant "I'll let him/her think I'm doing this and then I'll double cross them" got a bit old pretty quick.

I'd read it again if I didn't have a new story to read at some point and I'm looking forward to reading the next in the series. Hopefully, there will be less of the plans to double cross and more working together.

Wild And Sizzling read!

Reading Jaci Burton's RIDING WILD was awesome. A quick summary of the book first, Lily West is a private investigator, former police who is doing work to evaluate security at a museum. Mac is her first love that left her ten years ago without any reason or meaning. Mac's a bad boy! He's had a difficult upbringing that Lily believes nothing has changed in 10 years. After she finds him breaking into a museum, she gets caught in the middle and Mac is forced to take her along with him. Without having to give more details of the story, GO READ IT! The sexual tension between Mac and Lily steams off the pages from the very beginning when Lily recalls their relationship in the prior years. As Mac takes Lily on a wild ride (gosh, I so love heroes on motorcycles. Jaci does this fab!) trying to lose those who are following them and getting the stolen virus into safe hands. Mac is keeping details from Lily to protect himself and Lily will not give up and so hard tries not to fall for Mac again. I was captivated to the pages of this book! As a reader, I was feeling I was in Lily's place so many times. This author Jaci Burton has a excellent writing voice that gives you so much visual and sensual connection that you will feel you are right there along with them. Gosh, I don't know how to say this any other way, but I was panting along with Lily. The suspense was so intense, so real, as their love was for each other, that you'll be visualizing it as a movie you are watching. If you love sizzling romance suspense book this is the one to read. Days and months after I finished the book, scenes were still with me. I'm picturing scenes and feeling them just as intense when I was reading it. This is totally a keeper, and can't wait for Jesse's story in RIDING TEMPTATION!

HOT HOT HOT!

Lily West is a self-assured independent woman, an ex-cop working for a Private Investigation Agency. While on a job to test a museum¿s security Lily sees someone break in and steal an artifact with something terrible hidden in it. Something is very familiar about this thief¿low and behold it¿s her first love Mac, the one who took her virginity and then broke her heart. She gets the drop on Mac, but while trying to apprehend him they get shot at. Mac can¿t get away fast enough, but he decides he has to take Lily¿with or without her consent. He tries to tell Lily that he¿s not the bad guy, but he can¿t give her any more info and she has to trust him. Lily decides she has to bide her time for now and wait for a chance to take back the item and get it to the proper authorities. What follows is a wild ride. I found myself thoroughly enthralled with the story. Understanding what and why Mac was doing things, but also being enraged for Lily, because of her helplessness at times¿then jealous and envious of what she was getting! Wink Wink! This book is not for the faint of heart¿Jaci knows how to put a great story together! I look forward to the next in this series¿and hopefully some how to on a Harley included! BG

Wow – 4-4.5stars I thought this would be a romantic suspe

Wow – 4-4.5stars

I thought this would be a romantic suspense and found erotic romantic suspense which was so not what I was expecting.
The synopsis is pretty accurate so there is no need to rehash it. What’s not there is the chemistry between leads Mac Canfield & Lily West or the personality of the secondary characters leaping off the page. This origin story puts us squarely in the depths of a secret government agency where biker boys are the agents. The synopsis also gives you no clue just how hot the intimacy scenes get but the authors name does, and she doesn’t disappoint.
I immediately bought book two for this series!

Steamy Bikers

This book was not what i thought it would be but still a great read. There were some pretty great steamy fantasy's and sex scenes. Loved the biker aspect of the book and the intrigue of mystery.

Steam coming from the pages

I had to get beyond the premise of the secret government agent/ thief and the fact that the H/h hadnt seen each other in 10 years yet they fall back into bed and love with one another so quickly without much hesitation or discussion. Other than that, the story drew me in from the beginning and I couldnt put it down--finished it in less than a day. Jaci Burton sure can write a steamy love scene *fans self*!! Great start to a great series...who doesnt love a hot biker?!

Great story!

I had this book on want list of my nook and i kept by passing it and reading other books. I finally started it the other day and boy was i hooked from the start. now i cant wait to read the 2nd book. These books are hot and steamy with alot of action. A series you dont want to miss!!!!!!!

skip the chatter & go straight for the wild riding!

Just like the others I enjoyed the heated lust/fun portions but the story itself is lacking. The hot spots are so good that it'll keep you going though!

Romantic and Exciting

Defiantly need to read the series. Very good read if you want excitement in your romantic books.

Sexy and romantic read

I love reading about reunited couples, and the story of Lily and Mac does not disappoint. These two characters meet again in an explosive situation, with each thinking the other a risk to personal interests. Lily is sure Mac is up to no good, and Mac is unable to reveal his true (and good) motives. Of course, there is all the passion and heat the reader can possibly ask for, plus danger/suspense action to keep Mac and Lily on their toes! It was great to see the tenderness and growth in the relationship as they built on the memories and mistakes of their past.
